everytime i right-click on an image to save it, the save as dialog box ALWAYS has the filename has "untitled" and the filetype as "bitmap (.bmp)" it doesnt even give me an "all file types" option. so how do i fix this? why doesnt it automatically save as the filename of the picture?

Clear your Internet cache.

Dammit, is that why that happens? And I was just starting to believe that Firefox was useful for something after all, since it only happened with IE and never FF.

If that doesn't work, you somehow changed your settings to "Do not save encrypted pages to disk". Go to Tools, Options and then the Advanced tab. Uncheck the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" box. Refresh and it should be fine.

Sort of related to the topic, but I've got a bitchin' extension for Firefox that allows you to right-click on most sites that have the right-click disabled. I hate it when sites do that.

On 99% of the sites that use it, just hold down the right mouse button and press enter when the "no right click" popup comes up.

But yeah, they should do something about that with IE. It's probably a 'feature' though, if you know what I mean.

When you're done, I'd decrease the size of that. That's way bigger than anyone would ever need (especially if you happen to be on broadband).
