People shit on Marvel because it's not a "hard" game to be good at. Inputs are super lenient, x-factor exists, most setups are incredibly easy to kill off of.

KOF is "pure, honest" fighting. Definitely a hard game to play executionally speaking. Nailing those HD combos into neomax is a loooooooooot more difficult than x-factor guard cancelling then hitting a single bnb to kill.

Thank you for the input. As I said I have not played the game but, these finals have my interest peaked in this game I shall pick this up on thursday and put some hours in on my mini-vaca.

I have been watching all weekend and am stumped at some of the comments I have seen. In MVC you see people get picked up in combos and have 75% of their health drained. I start watching KOF top 8 and see the same thing. I haven't played KOF for myself so maybe that is the issue. My main point is that you degrade one game for this and seemingly praise another.

You have to work a lot harder for it in KOF. HD combos require you to build up meter for it and they require a lot more execution to pull off while in UMvC3, you are given X-Factor. Essentially, when you lose in KOF, you were outplayed and that's not necessarily true in UMvC3.
