Really I can't take much more of this. The laughter hurts hahaha

Red calling people in his stream failed Americans? LOL. I bet I have more money than EMP as a whole fifty times over at least.

Persona 4 Arena has that KOF13/Marvel 3 pacing. Its such a fun game to watch. I don't even play any anime games but watching p4a during kvo exposed me to a game that has so much potential.

First time I really followed EVO. Two long nights and mornings.
Some great matches. KOF and Marvel had pretty exciting final matches.
Street Fighter 4 ae finals were somewhat dissappointing.
Enjoyed some earlier SF fights much more. Like the Makoto Vs Viper match.
I wonder when the next big tournament is.

I stopped watching AE because of how boring it was compared to Marvel and KOF.

Everybody getting bodied.

Seriously, KOF was more hyped than AE.

Can't relate since, I didn't see the KoF Stream.

BUT. Indeed the AE/MvC3 was.. a bit of a lame side hype. Wasn't all that good. Daigo getting bodied, Poongo getting bodied, FUUDO GETTING BODIED.

-sigh-

Doesn't a character in that game actually go "watch your feet!" when they go low?

That felt...Virtua Fighter Grand Finals fast. That was demolition. But it was exciting to see Infiltration being gdlk.

King of Fighters top 8 was something else, much more exciting than I expected. I was rooting for MadKOF to take it after the bracket was reset. Then after the reset, MadKOF really got shit going. Not even Bala's Takuma could stop him. Mistakes on both sides.

Marvel I didn't start watching till top 4. Was hoping for Combofiend, Justin, and then Champ. Combofiend has placed first in events but somehow I knew he wasn't going to win...sometimes things just don't click for him at major events. Justin, I didn't see what happened. Filipino Champ I was pretty sure could win, coming from losers, and ultimately wasn't surprised--though in fact that grand finals could have gone either way (Infrit will hate that he didn't give his Doom a better chance and let his Morrigan die when Champ's Doom did Sphere Flame though.) Exciting.

Street Fighter, I was rooting for no one from America to win, because I don't really play Street Fighter anyway and I'd by then been tired of all the "MURRICA YEAH DAWG" in the streams. Don't misunderstand, as I don't hate the players and I wasn't rooting against them. Dieminion had an interesting Guile; good on him. Same with PR Rog, in spite of his thrashing. GF was way too fast and one-sided for any dramatic tension but still a compelling display.

Edit: Overall a worthwhile EVO, for what I saw.

You say that, but I have a problem with your explanation.

SFIV just isn't very exciting game to watch and it wasn't designed to be if you look at the mechanics and game engine. That's why matches need to be close for the game to be exciting and generate hype. A one sided affair in KOF XIII will still look flashy as fuck because of the insane damage potential and crazy combos. In SFIV, not so much because of you know what.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Beatdowns in SF4 are not fun to watch, but when it's close I think it's arguably the most exciting game to watch. As for beat downs in other games, depending on the game it can still be exciting, but only to a certain point. If Champ was blew away Infrit in GF 6-0 or had Balla finished off Mad KOF 3-1, you think people would have called that a great GF? It would have been considered boring and terrible way to end things. So yeah I agree KOFXIII and Marvel 3 look better in that aspect, but it's still not great to watch. ST, KOF, and Marvel top 8 were great because most of the matches were close and competitive.

Triforce wonders why the community doesnt like him, dude is one of the most immature ignorant people I have ever seen lol

35 years old and acts like hes some 17 year old half the time.
