Take a look at the 'First Look' Gameplay Video for Exodus, a sci-fi action-adventure decision-based game developed by Archetype Entertainment. Players will embark on a journey through the cosmos to lead humanity's fight against the Celestials as the Traveler. Make use of an arsenal of weapons and abilities to engage with the game's third-person action combat shooting from planet to planet. Exodus is coming soon to PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), with an extended gameplay look coming in Summer 2026.

Looks kinda like Tomb Raider/Uncharted type gameplay but in a sci-fi environment. Kind of interested. Looks sexy anyway.

I mean it's a little of everything. Just looks like some exploration and grappling. Some cover gun play. Big cinematic set pieces. It just gave me more adventure/exploration vibes.

Initial vibes are mass effect with tomb raider mix with modern paint coating. Not that it's a bad thing just got those vibes.

Very Mass Effect, and then that last scene gave me Prometheus vibes, haha.

Not sure how I feel about it though. It's a little TOO much Mass Effect-y IMO. I mean, I loved Mass Effect, but it'd be cool to have its gameplay look a little bit more... unique.

Looks like the Mass Effect guys who knew how to make a Mass Effect game founded their own studio so they could make another Mass Effect game. I hope this is actually good.

Yeah, Drew Karpyshyn is working on it which is already a huge plus for me. He worked on a bunch of Bioware games, including lead writer on the first 2 Mass Effect games.

Not sure who's doing the music yet.

Check out the first book as well.

Does the main character still look like in the previews?, because i refuse to play/buy this game so long as there is no confirmation on a character creator like mass effect, i HATE the mc's design in this.

Would be cool to get a Mass Effect-esque game. Sadly some older trailers showed some real ugly character designs which was a strong point of the ME series. Not just ugly but kinda blad as well.

I hope they improve on that and end up delivering an awesome game, we need more sci-fy kino.

Mass Effect blew all their character creation budget on default Shepard, Liara, and Miranda. Everyone else got shafted lol

It's exactly why I'm looking forward to it, it's the most Mass Effect-y game since Mass Effect, even more so than Mass Effect 2 and 3. I was not happy with the direction ME took after 1.
 
Its funny we went from bioware slop to 2 potentially decent mass effecty games coming after the shit stink that was veilguard.

I personally think the expanse shows more promise, the enemies here look a little bland, but its not like mass effects enemies were incredibly creative.

Naaah what the hell. I mean yeah those are pretty cool but I still think the other alien races all had pretty cool and memorable designs.

Mind you, might just be nostalgia lol but still, I think Garrus, Wrex and Tali are quite iconic as well.

Yeah, you're seeing a similar situation with Bethesda and Tainted Grail. Bethesda and Bioware both fumbled the ball, but other devs have picked it up.

Oh yeah, if we're talking about aliens, then yeah. They cooked.

And I realize Liara is an alien. It just helps my fantasy if I imagine she isn't lmao.
 
I want this, heaven gates are so cool, like relays in ME, the concept amazes me still. Hope it delivers, also there are books to read etc.

It's worth looking up the lore and how the scifi works on this I.P. to see the differences. It's more than just space, there's a lot to do with time and time distortions.

That's funny because the in-game lore is that each race perceives the Asari with a different shape, so for humans they look kinda like blue humans, but for Turians they look like blue turians.

It's all just so they are able to be perceived as attractive to every race so they can reproduce with everyone. Quite based lore, if you ask me. :lollipop_content:

I'd assume based on mass effect, they have a default but will let you create your own MC.
