Explain to me the grotesque dementia required to be sexually attracted to an infant.

Headlines in Norway currently read of a police raid against known distributers of child pornography. Among the evidence found were videos of new born babies engaged in sexual acts with adult men and women.

I want to track these people down and destroy them. What drives someone to do this? To even have these thoughts? I can somewhat understand pedophiles who are attracted to teenagers in the realm of 13-14, as they at least resemble adults in terms of physiology. Can anyone explain to me how people become like this? Child trauma? Severe mental disorders?

yeah.. this makes me so incredibly angry. i seriously want those people dead and gone.
to do that to a child is the worst thing possible.
 
I would be wary of anyone who could explain why because that'd mean they'd have to be pretty close to having those feelings as well.

The token mental trauma, crazy or sick works for me, I don't want a deeper understanding of it.
 
I think it's probably a 'break' in the brain somewhere. When I was 14 I fancied 14 year olds, when I was 17 I fancied 17 year olds, as I get older, I am always most attracted to my peers. And though I don't remember having any sexual feelings at about 8 or whatever age most victims of this stuff are, but I imagine if you do start having sexual feelings at that age, you find people that age attractive. For most people it changes and you carry on fancying your peers, but for perverts, it stays the same and they fancy the same little children.

That's the only logical answer I can come up with.

The only thing I can think of is they feel powerful when they do it. What a bunch of fucking... I don't even know. There's no words to describe how low they are.
 
Attracted towards the absence of sexual signs (soft skin, absence of breasts, no pubic hair, etc), power, driven to its most extreme.

i imagine the same reason internet crime fighters claim they want to kill all the offenders in this crazy world using the most violent methods that in another thread would be considered just as crazy and illegal.

it's just shades of cowardice....and crazy.

Maybe not consciously, but I wouldn't be surprised if this kind of thing could completely fuck you up on some level.

Having to wade through a hundred hours of grim child pornography is not a job I would ever do, not for any amout of money. Those cops are hardocre, although they probably have some special training, and perhaps therapy to be able to sit through it all.

They have to look at pictures in the background, certain clothers, TV's, electrical sockets to see if they can identify anything.
 
If they hold this attraction what should they do? There is no avenue in society to address this problem on a psychological level and thus it's a problem doomed to reoccur.

KRIPOS/ vold- og sedelighetsseksjonen has a joint team that's trained to do this shit. I heard on the radio that the police had a list of 30~ suspects connected to the raid, so digging through all these videos and pictures and then trying to mirror them with the children/homes of those 30~ must be all kinds of fucked up for everyone involved...

Well, on a physical level, it does screw up the infant pretty badly. There's gonna be some pretty deep scarring if the child survives the trauma.
 
Anyone who hurts infants should be put down for the simple fact that babies have more potential to be a good human being than the scum who abuse them.

The only way I can fathom how anyone could hurt a child in any way is if they don't see a baby as a person. Serial killers supposedly don't see their victims as human beings. They see them as objects; play things. I can only imagine that these fucking monsters must feel the same way about infants.

There are alot of sexual offenders who hate themselves for their desires. There is chemical castration which can cause emotional trauma and cause them to act out of frustration. Then comes into battle between governments ability to alter your body blah blah blah. Some act of sexual desire (physical origins) and others emotional (mental).
 
Even if you did have that attraction it's takes a special kind of evil to act on it. Just because I don't have a girlfriend doesn't mean I start raping women. New born though? What the fuck?

Ummm I don't know? NOT DO IT? That could work. People are not just bound by every carnal desire they have. People are choosing to do this. Mental illness is not an excuse. It might be a legitimate reason for the desire, but not for the action.

However, it should be considered a mental illness I guess, and they should be locked up for the remainder of their lives under the mental health act.

And I'm sure there are places they could do to be given some sort of pills. There are pills that kill sexual attraction I think. It's not like they couldn't 'give themselves in' and have something be done about it.

Pedos in general, our society can't seem to find a good way to deal with. That said, its so hard to feel any sympathy for them. Even if they never act on it... thats not much of a life, but if they act on it... It makes me angry.

I disagree. It's why they want to do what they do, that's true, I'm sure they can't help wanting to, but they do it because they choose to. Our actions are not dictated by our desires.

Being a pedophile can be classed as an illness. It doesn't make you evil. Acting on it is a completely different story. It's sadistic, evil, and shows you have sunk to the lowest level of life with no morals or decency and would harm a child and destroy it's innocents for your own sick fantasies.

Working in a tech shop ive spoken with quite a few cops that came by because of child porn. In my city they have a cyber crime division and that was one question i asked about.. once the police make this tamper-evident copy (forgot what it was called) they have to wade through gigs of this shit and catalog it all. The officers that have this duty.. well they have to by cycled through at a rapid rate because of the effect it has on them. Mostly anger issues and depression from what i was told.
 
I learned a long time ago to not read articles like these because it ruins my day and I say angry the whole time.

If I knew or saw someone doing this to a child, I don't think I'd call the cops. I'd most likely beat the shit out of them.
 
It's the same "grotesque dementia" required for a man to be sexually attracted to another man, or even the "grotesque dementia" required for a man to be attracted to women.

The only difference is that, because of consent issues, one is socially acceptable and the other isn't.

EDIT: I'm not trying to defend child rapists before you get that idea.
 
I could ask that same question, only replace 'infant' with just about any weird-ass fetish I see on the net.

Most of the time, I just think it's because some people are just addicted to sex and masturbation but they get bored of the usual thing. Why infants? Who the fuck knows. Probably because it's illegal and fucked-up and that turns them on.
 
LOL @ people saying our desires rule our actions. Everytime I see a hipster douchebag I desire to punch them in the face, but I don't. I desire to smoke weed, but I don't. I desire to go out and buy a brand new car, but I don't. It's called being a normal person. Making decisions based on wants, needs, morals, rational thinking, etc. People who desire to have sex with an infant are sick. People who act on that desire need to be either put down or locked away for the rest of their life.
