Today, I hooked up my PS1 and it refuses to read my games!! It's brand new, for crying out loud!! I got this system about a month or two before the PS2 launched because my other PS1 had died on me after playing through MGS1 and SotN. So, I used my extended warranty and got a brand new system. I used it to play some demos for the month or two before I bought my launch PS2, and then packaged it up back in its original box. I pulled it out today, and no go. The first game I put in was skipping to high hell, and took too long to load. Now, it's not reading anything!!
WTF is with their shoddy hardware?!?! I store everything properly, in their packaging and I keep them out of extreme temperatures. This is my second ps1, and I'm now on my third PS2 (now a PSTwo).
The only other system that has caused me problems was my launch Xbox, but that was the Thompson drive.
Sorry guys, just needed to vent a little.
