Fallout New Vegas |OT| Obsidian does what Bethesdon't

Is there anywhere to get energy weapon ammo other than the Silver Rush?
BoS is the best place for energy ammo, the Gun Runners usually has some as well.

And there's quite a lot to steal from the shelves (that you can't buy) at the Silver Rush if you haven't already.

Everytime I go to the gun runners or BOS store they never have any energy weapon ammo. Kinda sucks, because I've invested more points in energy weapons than guns.

Yeah you kinda need to get lucky with the vendors.

Have you done any quests for the BoS? They'll start giving you energy ammo after a while.

I had the same problem and and got a lot of my ammo from recycling (using the perk).

Yeah, I've done all the quests for the BoS. That's why I can't buy at Silver Rush anymore :lol

Alright, I'm in the sacrifical chambers and am getting swarmed by the robots in the last room. I off them all (but my companions become unconscious), but then the "Quest Failed" message pops up for "The House Always Wins, I". Apparently, letting your companions kill the turrents will prevent the quest from failing, but I have no idea how to keep them conscious enough for me to kill the bigger robots.
Any suggestions?

Well I maxed out my character, my save file is above 10mb, so here's what I wanted to do: go to Novac, pick up some gear, go to Vegas to pick up a companion, get healed/rads taken away, then go to Hoover Dam and start up the final mission. Well guess what happened between that and the credits?

THE GAME LOCKED UP ON ME SIXTEEN TIMES. SIXTEEN. HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL? I HATE THIS STUPID STUPID GAME.

Ugh. I will never buy any DLC for this broken, broken game. At least once I start a new game it'll have a small save file and won't lock up so much. But beware when you make progress in this game...you WILL break the engine.

just use some pulse grenades ( need 2 or 3 ) that will insta kill/stop the bots ( and the turrets as well iirc ) in just one shot

I can only play for about half an hour at a time before it crashes, right from the start of the game. Kind of puts a damper on its enjoyability.

Oh man, I just crippled Rhonda's combat inhibitor, it attacked Tabitha and got sad when she was dead. :(

Of the 461 murders I've committed this playthrough that was the first one that stung a little.

Use a stealth boy, stay crouched, get the recordings, and leave.

I'm at about 24 hours now, level 16 or 17. I'm worried that if I do some certain missions i'll get close to finishing the game, and I really want to keep playing at higher levels for a while. AFAIK there's now free play once you finish the main quest.

Currently I'm in the middle of talking to all of the tribes as part of the Yes Man Wild Card quest. I've already activated Mr House's army at the weather station underneath the Legion's headquarters. If I go and kill Mr House and report in to Yes Man, will that end the game?

Also I was poking around the New Vegas wikia and I read about the NCR ending quest path. I didn't realise you could side with them to finish the game. I've already pissed the Legion off and I was never going to side with them anyway. Currently I only have Yes Man and Mr. House quests. Where do I get the NCR end game quests?

You start the chain in New Vegas, and eventually end up at Hoover Dam.

No, the game will tell you when you're about to go to the last mission. You're close, though. Be careful about finishing Yes Man/Mr. House quests; if you do them, even if the objectives overlap with NCR objectives, NCR will stop working with you.

You talk to the ambassador in the strip, near Michael Angelo's workshop.

Fuck the brotherhood in this game. They were way nicer in FO3, but in here, they're royal douche lords.

They're supposed to be. The Brotherhood is a bunch of wasteland assholes wishing they could be as cool as the Enclave.

That's just the way they're meant to be. It's actually the FO3 ones that are kind of off. Hence why
an entire group of them splintered off to become the Outcasts.

That's one of the things that annoyed me about the endgame choices. I wanted to sort of
activate the Securitron army and then tell Yes Man that we were going to help the NCR, but noooooo, the NCR automatically assumes that if I work with Yes Man that I'm obviously working against them.

Yeah the BOS was way cooler in FO3, I knew they are suppose to be douches but I liked them so much better.
They improve super mutants in this game though, they felt like fodder in FO3

I was totally going to go with Yes Man, because I didn't even realise there was an option to go with NCR to the end game quest. I thought that because they idolised me they would join my side haha. That could've ended very badly.

Can I still use the robot army from the Weather Station with NCR?

Damn this game is amazing!

Help! I just entered the Strip for the first time, and
Victor came up to me and told me to go visit House in the Lucky 38, so I walked up there and Victor is laying dead outside the entrance. I walk inside and the Securitrons are all hostile and I can't go up the elevator to House.
Please tell me I'm not fucked. :(

You know...instead of just letting the invincible robot do everything whilst we sip tea in power armour.

Quick question for y'all. Is it possible to get the armor, gun, everything in this photo in game?

Apparently the only Brotherhood of Steel member I've come across yet has been Veronica, and I'm more than twenty hours in. :lol

Game is rocking my socks. I'm at a 6MB save file, though, and I'm terrified that I'll hit 8-10 long before I satisfactorily bleed this game dry. ;_;

Pssh, that's nothing. I've got over 700 saves, the latest one is nearing 8mb, and the folder with all my saves in it is almost 4 gigs...:D :lol Amazingly enough, I never hit any constant crashes. The game froze maybe 5 times at the most.

My game locked up about that many hanging around Hoover Dam. The only thing I did was to clear the cache on the 360 and re-download the patch to finish the game. It seemed to work, but I don't know if that was the real reason it was playable to finish the game.

I stopped counting after 45 lock ups on the 360 during my whole experience.:lol

I had the game crash on me 5 times in a row when
talking to the WGS member in the steam room at the Ultra-Luxe Casino. I had to leave my companions a few rooms away for it to work

I'm creeping along my way to Vault 34 and sniping at Golden Geckos along the way. I have Veronica with me and Ed-E and we take out a family and one adult flees with two health bars left. I snipe it dead.

Veronica: "Probably would have died from natural causes anyway."

*level up music and screen*

Sometimes this game is great when it wants to be.

Anyone experience this and know any fixes? I've been playing NV since release and have over 50 hours logged so far, I can't even fathom the possibility of starting over from the beginning. Ugh.

So my load times are getting unbearable (360) so i gues i should go and clear my cache.
Any neagtive side effects i should be aware of?
And will my loot still be in the cases in my homes?

Anyone else had the lockpicking minigame thing disappear on their game (360)? like when I go to pick a lock, the screen comes up, but the lock and bobbypin is just not there. Happened at the end of a session last night, so after trying a few more locks and getting the same thing, i saved and quit. Hopefully a reboot will fix it, but this will really take away from the game if I can't get it fixed.

Just to make sure, you're saving to the hard drive and not a usb, right?

So what skill level do you have to be to get the special attacks for melee weapons? Presumable its different based on the weapon (and the required skill level of that weapon).

I am making a character with unarmed as a secondary weapon skill, but was thinking of just putting enough points into melee to get super slam, and add some gameplay variety by using melee weapons special attacks...

edit- Also another question, so stealing items in a faction "friendly" building like powder gangers prison place hurts my standing with that faction EVEN IF I SNEAK AND TAKE IT WHILE HIDDEN?

Just restart the game and the load times should be back to normal.

If you are playing on PC, you can probably resurrect Victor and set the Securitrons as non-hostile via the dev console.

If not, well, you should be able to still complete the game, just not with the 'support Mr. House' path. Confront Benny to get the ball rolling on the other paths.

Stealing doesnt hurt faction standing, only Karma. It only hurts faction if you are caught.

Sigh...Now Rex has completely disappeared. I sent him back to lucky 38 while standing IN FRONT OF LUCKY 38. And he's no where to be found now after I went of and completed a bunch of crap. This game is so FUCKING STUPID. This is just ridiculous. Im thinking selling this POS. Why should I invest more time into something when they Just fuck up all my shit without me knowing.

I've lost Boone. I told him to piss off to Lucky38, and he never showed up. First bug. Game has crashed 3 times though. Still consider that not bad for a Gamebryo game. :lol

that sucks, losing boone is worse than losing anyone in the game imo just cause he is so Fucking beast. best companion imo.

Urgh, in that case I'm not sure I even want to go on with it at this point. I guess I'll shelve the game for now and keep my fingers crossed that the patch somehow fixes it.

You can send companions back to Lucky 38 instead of their place of origin?

Also, what are some nice clothing mods? Veronica looks really out of place with that T45 armor walking around the strip.
