Wallach said:PS3 update is supposedly live in NA as of now. Anyone confirm?
Edit - It also looks like they may have had to move the PC update to next week.
mujun said:Do you have a link to the changelist? I'm keen to get my hands on the patch.
Has anybody else encountered a glitch on the 360 where certain guns (usually rifles it seems, the Cowboy Repeater in particular) cause you to lose button function after shooting them?
Happens quite often to me, I can't shoot, reload or pull up my Pip Boy for several seconds after firing my Cowboy Repeater (and some other guns) sometimes.
epmode said:I'm trying very hard to understand why a PC patch would come out *after* a certification-delayed console patch.
epmode said:After the GFWL disaster with Fallout 3, I was hopeful that the Steamworks integration in Vegas would lead to lots of smaller bugfixes rather than the verrrrrrry delayed and infrequent patches from 3. You know, the same patches that almost always coincided with paid DLC.
Do I sound cynical?
It's not? I thought the 360 DLC was about to launch.Wallach said:Well... at least this time it won't coincide with DLC! :lol

Leckan said:Could someone explain exactly how DPS works? It wasn't in F3 and if you're not using an automatic gun how does it work?
Leckan said:Probably a silly question but the changes for the patch will move over for existing chars so you don't need to start over again right?

SuperSonic1305 said:You can get into McCarran from outside the walls of New Vegas on the south side.
rainking187 said:I wonder if it fixesthat vault where attacking the turrets causes you to fail a bunch of House quests.
Otheradam said:Is this an actual glitch and not a quest objective? I got the failure notice and didn't know it was a glitch, but i reloaded a save and didn't bother doing the end of that sequence.
beelzebozo said:can i get around the wall to the south side from the north gate?
Gestahl said:You enter the Camp from the Mojave Wasteland. You can literally walk from Goodsprings to McCarran in the first 10 minutes of the game. New Vegas has nothing to do with it
disappeared said:Speaking of the King, are any of his favors useful at all? Money is obvious, joining the Kings apparently lets you get a haircut... is that it?
I loooooove the highway space that leaves most mutations on the side of the road. No need for fast travel ever.Overall I liked the environments of FO3 a lot more but I'm loving not having to go back into any fucking sewers.
You know what's the best againstBlue Ninja said:Holy shit, melee and unarmed are powerful in this game. When Iduring my first playthrough at level 26, it took me an ungodly amount of bullets (since I'd run out of microfusion cells by then) to take him down. That was on Normal difficulty, I think. I turned on Hardcore for my melee/unarmed character, and he tookfaced off against Laniusdown on level 19 with two hits from a Ballstic Fist.Lanius
Also, because I was wearing a Legion outfit (my Stealth armor had gone bust by the time I reached the Legate's camp), Lanius' minions didn't even attack me. They just stood there, waiting for me to knock their heads off.
No joke. I haven't encountered a check above 50 yet, and every single extra part I've had to scrounge after and do is because my silent gunslinger type is.... silent. :lol Missed out on a lot of optionals as well. Already looking forward to a second playthrough. :lolI swear the vast majority of the quests in NV can be finished or strongly influenced by speech checks.
Has anyone tried brahmin tipping?
Yurt said:Can you get a sniper early on in the game ? I'm itching to start a new character with a sniper build.
What's that :lol
edit: I just googled it :lol I've done it a few times without actually realizing it's an easter egg

mujun said:You can, go into the First Recon (iirc) tent in Camp McCarran and there is one on top of a bunk that you can take without any karma loss.
RedSwirl said:Oh hot damn. The Ratslayer's been doing wonders for me but I'll try that. I still haven't been able to mod any guns yet though. I heard you could mod a silencer onto a sniper rifle for instance. Where do you find parts?
