Fallout | Official Teaser Trailer | Prime Video

Other than Todd, I dont know any of these people or movies they mention. Oh well.

Thing is, the Bethesda Fallout arent really known for their story and themes. They are more rollercoaster rides with a lot of whacky fun stuff. Which is fine in a game, not sure how well this would hold up in a show. Also...they really have a 2:30 min trailer and there is like no story at all. What is this show going to be about?

I couldn't even care to view the trailer. I've had epic of tv shows. Everything is a show now. Tlou is good yeah but it's scenes directly from the game

Westworld was waaaay to cerebral and made no sense kinda like Lost.
The Boys is good but has kinda fallen off after the first season.

I think the US needs to do what the brits do, know exactly how many season you have to complete the story, and be done with it.
In the US is seems like the first season is a pilot to then create as many season as possible to milk the cow.

The production looks nice, can't comment on the content until I see it myself.

Well, that looks pretty close to how I would imagine live action adaptation of Bethesda's Fallout to look like.

Sadly.

I cannot see or feel the atmosphere of the original games. Which is to be expected, but still sad.

I think this is produced by Nolan's brother so crossing fingers it is good.

EDIT: Yup its in the trailer

I hate the power armor when they are walking. It literally looks like its made of foam.

Of course it stars a female.

Loved the monster design.

Will wait for reviews.

I love the Fallout games but these feel like they watched Mandalorian.

Well I'll give it a try

Kinda disappointed they adapted Fallout 4 weapon design. It not only looks like ass, it is functionally ass as well.

What? The Bethesda Fallout games have a ridiculous amount of great side stories you encounter doing those "whacky fun stuff". You probably missed out on them killing everything.

At least it looks to be playing the part very well, so it will be cool to see how it all pans out. Hopefully it's good as a whole!

Definitely weird to see Todd Howard listed as the creator. But if FO3, 76, and 4 are the influences (which definitely looks like it) I guess it's not really inaccurate.

That's how US media is in general and honestly how most media is. You gotta milk as much money as possible for everything.

Which from a business perspective makes sense but it still sucks.

It's the same reason Hollywood just remakes everything now because low effort for more money is better then high effort for the same money.

I understand, but they could've said we're gonna do 3 season with these characters and Then do another 3 season with different ones in the same universe. Like in Vegas, no? I haven't played the games so I dunno.

I'm in, not the biggest fan of the games but sure there are a lot of crazy stories you can get from the fallout world.

I don't like the tone but no surprise since Bethesda is involved.

It would be so much better if they aimed at recreating that amazing combination of bleak and ridiculous of the original game.

The Last Jedi trailer was hype too.

Will wait for some reviews of some episodes before watching since a writer from Captain Marvel is involved.

as others have already pointed out, visuals look great, also great that they seem to be going for an r-rating like The Boys, gory violence definitely feels in line with the Fallout universe.........BUT the trailer said nothing of the plot, so i will wait for reviews to drop before i devote time to this.

Honestly this trailer was pretty nice. Though the media teams have really gotten things down for promoting many of these shows. Looking forward to when reviews drop in April

Nolan's involvement in this gives me a lot of hope it'll be a decent show. Certainly looks good ... apart from that dumb looking power armour.

There's 2 threads so i'll just paste what i said on the other one here,

Just seen it, while it looks promising and Michael Emerson is great in everything i've seen him in, it does look a little bit clean and hollywood to me, whether that's a good thing or not, time will tell , but i am looking forward to watching it, and i also hope they explain where the NCR have gone lol.

No I did not miss them. I liked the whacky fun stuff at least in FO3. 4 was abysmal in its story telling and the story it did tell. Bethesda simply doesnt have the writing chops of the old Interplay or Obsidian for that matter. Its all spectacle and zero substance. There has been enough written about this and I can only add to it that I mostly agree with all the criticism raised against Bethesda. Their worlds are fun, but unbelievable and lack any cohesion, sense or deeper meaning. If thats what your after, than youre getting a fun rollercoaster ride. Its the fast food of video games and thats fine. I like fast food every once in a while. Lets just not pretend it is anything more than that.
