I wish the graphics weren't so poo (though at least poo 2D doesn't give you the headache poo 3D does), but I'm glad to see the drawing spells thing is being used in Lost Magic. Well that's what it looks like anyway.

Could be really cool if they do it right. I've wanted this sort of thing ever since the DS was announced.
 
Super Monkey Ball DS...

No brainer, surprised it tok them this long to announce it. That said... sounds freaking great.

Some new RPGs are always welcome, M&L looks great as ever, and Princess Peach looks decent as wel.

Let'snot forget Mario Tennis Advance either- looks solid.
 
SMB is the perfect game for the DS. It's enough game for the gamers and simple enough for the multitude of non-game gamers the DS has brought out of the closet. This should be hot!

my wallet hate the DS.

I skipped all the versions of SMB knowing it would only make sens with some kind of touching technology.
 
Peach is starting to look really good, hope the emotion thing actually has you crying into the DS, would certainly make for some fun train journeys.

I want to see what Camelot can produce on the DS. Whether you like the gameplay in the GS games or not, they definitely have some of the best 2D effects on the GBA by a fair margin.

Similarly, Mario Tennis GBA looks fairly swank.

Hopefully TGS will see something unveiled.
 
Man now that I know some katakana and hirigana from my Beginners Japanese I course, it makes reading some of these scans a lot easier.... well at least I can translate some of the direct katakana words. I know that the last scan has Baby Peach and Baby Koopa as sidebars.
 
It looks like with the announcment of Iron Feather, Lost Magic, the DS is the platform of choice for RPGs.

Even with the tons of recent PSP games announced, it doesn't look like any RPGs are forthcoming...

there's also that scei rpg by some guy who worked on megaten. which no one paid any attention to because it was revealed in the same famitsu issue as makaimura.
 
Actually the PSP has quite a few RPGs, and probably a better selection than DS... so far.
I would say Tales of Eternia + Popolocrois are better than Lunar + Egg Monster Hero, even though you're talking about 2 ports vs 2 new games. Then there's the Gagharv games too. At least if I were an RPG-only guy, I wouldn't have any qualms about the PSP so far ;)

Load times are not an issue if the game is coded properly. ToE had very good load times on the PSP, for example.

Landstalker is being remade in 3D. It's more a remake than a port, since it also features additional scenarios. Then there's Climax's second new title, Ore no Dungeon, an old-school Dungeon crawler.
 
Monkey Ball DS looks alright. Hopefully the framerate will be vastly improved over SMB Jr. because that's what really matters. Doesn't matter how the game looks, if it's unplayable, it's no good. M & L 2 looks great as always and Princess Peach looks intersting as well. New Batallion Wars stuff looks great as well. I'm liking Lost Magic's art and it looks good and the in-game stuff doesn't look too bad either. Iron Feather in-game looks kind of weak but the art looks interesting at least.
