Famitsu #880

that shenmue-like game (forgot what it's called) looks awesome. using a fire extinguisher and a huge board as a weapon? hopefully it comes to the U.S.

Ryu Ga Gotoku will own my soul, I hope the game is as long as shenmue, and sega, PLEASE, spend more than 100 bucks on voice-actors this time

The girl from ASH has some major boobs. That looks like an anime adaptation waiting to happen.

too bad they won't bounce

Is famitsu coverage really that focused on the DS lately or are we just getting more scans of DS games?

I love how in "where do babies come from" the childhood friend of the main character has all these villain-ish schemes

I speacially liked the scene where she comes on a helicopter to attack the other girl

How does Rainbow Islands work? It looks like you draw the rainbows yourself, but how do you control Bub and why is he in a bubble??

ryu ga gotoku looks sweet. i'm surprised impressions from tgs were mostly negative.

PSM loved it at TGS:

Why we loved it: Love or hate Shenmue, you have to respect it. So imagine how excited we were when we checked out Ryu Ga Gotoku, a very Shenmue-like game, with a very Shenmue-like budget (20 million!), only this one's made by the Super Monkey Ball Team. Fighting, Dating, amazing world, this game's got it all.

Chances of U.S. release: This one's a little iffy since Shenmue was never big here. Still, with the time and money already spent on the game, a U.S. release seems more likely than not. We'll give it, oh, a 70% chance.

Ryu Ga Gotoku gets a "Whoa!" from me. Looks like it comes out on 12/8 in Japan, which would make a nice import birthday present for myself.

Is that a sequel to Trauma Surgeon I see in the review part already? That was quick.

Looks like I've gotta import Super Princess Peach with scores that high...

Thank you sir.

Ryu Ga Gotoku will get my money almost certainly, but I would appreciate it a bit more if I didn't have to watch yakuza speak badly dubbed engrish. C'mon Sega, make a JPN language option a priority, the press will flip out about it.

Also, what is that DS game thats left of Rainbow Islands. That goofy lookin one?

What's the deal with the (C) HUDSON SOFT and Developed by ALPHADREAM at the bottom of the Peach scan? Are Alphadream doing this and M&L2 simultaneously?

I really have no idea what is going on at the DOA4'x Xbox live menu screen :lol

originally the peach scan is separated into 2 pages
I combined them into 1 page
the remained part of each page is Mario Party 7 and M&L2
and Peach is printed at the bottom of the 2 pages, that is why you see those companies' name

Is there any news/screens for Super Robot Wars DS? I read from the other thread (that "this week in Famitsu..." one) and it mentions SRW DS, so just wondering if there really is any news on this.

no, nothing
actually SRW DS has been announced before NDS launch in Japan
people mention the title again because SRW DS is printed in the release schedule first time in Famitsu

SRW is a big series in Japan
so if there is any screen shot, we have already seen on Wed :D

Ah, thanks!

Does anyone know who's developing Peach? I've been wondering for awhile. Is it already known and I just missed the news?

thanks neo!

princess peach looks better and better the more i see it :)

feel the magic 2 also looks great. rainbow islands has a nice use of the stylus and touch screen.
