Because practically nothing has been shown. Get some famitsu pages that show more than the generic, detailess E3 video and you'll see a jump on the list.

The Americans (especially) and the Europeans actually seem to enjoy Zelda more than the Japanese. (atleast these days)

Zelda, like any big franchise has a constituency in Japan. There has always been a positive correlation between the amount of information released and anticipation.

But then again, Famitsu readers aren't exactly representative of the gaming public at large in Japan.

Games become more anticipated the closer they are to release. Zelda is probably about 10 months away. I thought this was obvious.

There's the occasional exception, like dragon warrior, but yeah....

These lists rarely ever translate into actual sales. I remember Pokemon Something (a GB version) being in the bottom of the top 10, with BioHazard or BioHazard Zero being in the top 3.

Nice to see Mother 3 so high. Hopefully Nintendo will get around to releasing a home version on revolution as Earthbound is in my top 5 favourite games from the SNES era.

Also I wouldn't worry about the relatively low showing of Zelda - once we have new media and info starts to leak out, it'll rocket up that list.
