Huh? A next gen survey including current gen/handheld platforms?

Good too see all round support for the Rev though!

From IGN's story...
In terms of release date, December was the most popular choice amongst developers and retailers for the PS3. Users were split pretty evenly between May and July as top choices. A good percentage of retailers also selected May and July, while a good number of developers selected September.

December was a popular selection for the Revolution's launch amongst developers, with November coming in second. Both gamers and retailers selected November first followed by December. A good number of developers and makers expect the Revolution to not make it out until 2007.

Say what?

Haha, holy shit I didn't notice that part. How the hell is that possible? It's mindboggling that ANYTHING could do worse than Xbox360 over there. :lol

Sony could release PS3 with Anthrax spread all over the box and it would still be #1.

INSNAITY

That's what we said about the PSP.

Although, this is a survey where people picked one system, not ranked the systems in order.

PSP is a distant second to the DS and will likely be far behind PS3 & Rev, but I don't expect it to drop below the 360 although I can see it dropping below the PS2 if that system ever gets a price drop.

:lol This is getting sad. Sorry PSP & 360.

(great to see support growing for the Revolution. Mayhaps they should have called that one the Developers System instead)

I thought Famitsu took this same exact survey last summer. If so, someone post it because if I remember correctly I think the percentages were radically different back then. Such a change if true.

OMG, I'd fit in so well with Japanese gamers. :lol

Yes, because Famitsu polls are always indicative of the future...

Give me a break. As soon as Sony unveils the PS3, the lot of you will be throwing up your arms shouting "WHY DID WE EVER DOUBT YOU SONY"

GAF tosses and turns like no other sometimes... :/

I wasn't talking about PS3! I was talking about PSP.

For many in Japan, the PSP hasn't lived up to their very high expectations and the software library has been an unmitigated disaster.

PSP = prime example of what happens to Sony hardware when third parties fail to deliver ... luckily it looks like a one time thing, PS3 = solid

PSP proved Sony isn't invincible as much as people hate to admit it, and may open the way to its competitors. Not Nintendo specifically, but even MS might learn a thing or two about Sony's weaknesses and Ken's hubris.

Either way, you're acting like it's ABANDON SHIP for PSP in Japan. Don't bet on it.

Besides, VP: Lenneth isn't even out yet! :D
