"NDS Jump Super Stars 8897" The fuk? And what did the text say for this and Dracula?

As if Famitsu scores matter.

Haha Jump BOMBA!

Wait I forget, are we trusting Famitsu scores or not this week?

I guess someone forgot the moneyhats.

I trust Famitsu more than western magazines, except Edge.

What the fuck is Dracula?

There, that's the thread.

Good scores for JSS, Akumajou, and Lost in Blue. Now I just need to put in an order for Lost in Blue. Thanks for the scores, neo & bloke.

It's Famitsu, mutsu. The correct answer is not to trust any of the scores.

Did Famitsu reveal anything cool this week?

Not suprising, though. The game looked pretty awful, based on what I've seen and read.

Yah but with it being Lunar I still hoped that it'd turn out fine. It'd be better if it didn't carry the name at all since outside of the actual art, it doesn't resemble Lunar. Even Lunar Magic School still managed to look like Lunar.

32/40. That's an eight. :D I'm glad it didn't get 20/40 or something. I'm definately getting this game one way or another.

Cleaned version...from + to -

I think it's a safe bet it's not the same people reviewing this time though. They rotate the reviewers every week from a group of about 50.

Yeah yeah, I know that, I mean it got four 8 just like Rebirth, not something like 7799.

That Lunar score makes me sad, finally a brand new Lunar game after all these years. I just hope I'm more inclined to agree with the 9 score than with the three 6s when it comes here.

Already have Jump Super Stars coming my way, and Castlevania and Survival Kids look like worthy purchases when they come out in the west.

What I'm not sure about is Twelve. I want it to be good, but the score of 8/7/8/6 seems shaky. Could go either way for me. What were the reviewer comments? Anybody planning to get this? I want some impressions :-)

Looking at Neo's reviews...

Sounds like CV has a good story line (deeper than previous games), a good weapon synthesis system and great combat, makes great usage of the NDS features (breaking blocks, sealing bosses, etc.), and has high production values. The game seems to be of a decent challenge and length (for this type of game) as well (though the touch pad sections sound like they can make you a bit nervous due to the nature of switching to it). They also mention that the tactical soul system is back, which lets you capture enemy abilities and use them (same as Aria, it seems). As usual, puzzle solving is based on the strengthening of your character (abilities allow you to proceed).

Sounds exactly as I expected, and I can't wait!

NDS Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Konami): 9/ 8 / 8 / 8 - (33/40)

Whohoo, come to daddy! That's a solid score since castlevania isn't popular in Japan.

btw does anyoen know that CV: AoS got from Famitsu?

Sounds great huh dark. :) Will you play the Japanese version?

Do you know what AoS scored?

I might play the Japanese version. Haven't decided yet. I'm still looking into the rest of the Japanese DS library before jumping on board.

I REALLY want to play this, though. AoS was fantastic, and the thought of an even better game with GOOD music sounds great. I hate these Famitsu reviews, though. They never go into any detail on anything. Based on the movies, the music sounds great, but they never even mentioned ANY of the audio.

um yeah, wtf is up with that. Music is important in a castlevania game.

I am getting the euro version. It's out september 16th.

so it's confirmed that it wont come to the west?

i don't know, that doesn't matter to me though. By the time I import it in a few months, someone will have made a comprehensive FAQ somewhere

It´s supposedly been pushed forward to september 1st.

There's already a very large and almost complete FAQ on Gamefaqs. You should import it as soon as you can. It's excellent.

I'm not surprised by the Lunar scores. I've been playing Lunar Legend and I can't say I'm impressed by it at all. With that said, I expect Dragon Song to be a better game than it still.

Tales of Legendia's score doesnt seem too bad, although I dont know any of the scoeres for the previous tales of games. Does anyone know what tales of symphonia got?

Symphonia GC 34 (9988)
Eternia PSP 33 (8889)
Rebirth PS2 32 (8888)
Destiny 2 PS2 32 (dont know)

If it is as good as ToD2 and ToR, it is a very good game ^^

You guys are confusing. You say Jump: Super Stars bombed because it scored a 32 (which I would think to be a good score), but say Castlevania did great even though it scored just 1 point more. Does that one point matter THAT much......

Shit like this is frustrating. Who are "you guys"? How many people said that JSS bombed? Did those same people say that Castlevania did great?

Not to mention potential sarcasm, etc etc

Sorry for bumping but here is the Tales of Legendia review scan

Some poor translated info...
· It is easy to play (in comparison with the other games)
· Battle is simple...monotone after a while
· Important influence of character level
· Good character movement
· Narrow world...dissastisfaction
· Good story tempo

EDIT: thx Reno ^^
