That's right. Twenty years ago Failure released their third EP, and also one of the best albums of the 90's, and one of my favorites of all time.

I know this album gets a lot of love on GAF, so I was surprised this thread hadn't been posted yet. Let's talk about Failure!

I was lucky enough to see them play last year when they released their 4th album, 18 years after Fantastic Planet. Ken Andrews is a brilliant producer/musican and put on a brilliant show. I'll be seeing them again on the 20th anniversary tour where they'll be playing Fantastic Planet front to back.

one of the best albums ever made. they are actually touring for the anniversary and playing the album from beginning to end! i'm seeing them in october :D

dammit i didn't see you commented on this already! oh well... see you there brah! (if you're going to Pomona!)

Never heard of the group, clicked the thread because I thought it was in reference to the classic 70's stop motion, sci fi film.

i saw them when they first came back a couple years ago and they had a whole 10 min or so intro before the band came out, and they did show clips from Fantastic Planet (they are big fans)

Well, the album name is in reference to the film. Many of the lyrics and even the overall theme is space and sci fi.

Hmmmmm.... Ok I'm going to check out the music on this album to see I'm feeling it.

I'm ashamed to say that I completely forgot about that band until I heard a cover of "The Nurse Who Loved Me" in the early 2000s which got me to listen to that album again.

Guess I'll look into their tour dates.

I'm shocked there's a thread for this band on GAF. I thought they were too obscure. Seeing them this October in Wisconsin, super excited.

Bless you OP (^____^)

Also one of my all time favorite albums that I first discovered when I first moved to Alaska back in 2005 while scouring a record store (remember those?). Previously I became aware of Ken Andrews thru his stint in Year of the Rabbit (check out their one album, it's awesome, especially "Hunted").
I've since been a fan and am also seeing them in Oct :D

Kickass album, seeing them in Seattle in October.

Same show I'm going to :)
