The fight for freedom is far from over. Deliver delicious tacos across Yara with Danny Trejo, fight the Yaran military with an impostor Rambo, and rescue Chorizo from the upside down with the Stranger Things crossover. Play weekly insurgencies and special ops missions for free from day one. Put yourself in the shoes of Vaas, Pagan Min, and Father Joseph and relive their origin stories in a new roguelite game mode with the Far Cry 6 Season Pass, available late 2021.

Overview:

Crossover Missions (Free)
  • Danny & Dani vs. Everybody
  • Rambo: All the Blood
  • The Vanishing (FC6 x Stranger Things)
Special Operations (Free)
  • Cocodrilo
  • Los Tres Santos
  • Puerta Del Eden
  • Malagua
  • + 2 more
Weekly Insurgencies (Free)

Season Pass

  • Insanity (FC3)
  • Control (FC4)

All of this content is playable solo or co-op.

The season pass missions seem to be a type of rogue-lite/rogue-like.

Far Cry 4 didn't hook me and 5 felt too All American for my tastes, but 6's jungles are looking promising. Might get this...

Far Cry's are definitely a guilty pleasure for me. This one looks great if I'm honest and can't be upset at free content. Bit disappointed the season pass stuff is trying to be a roguelike though. Just not my kinda thing. We'll see.

They are not doing any wacky DLC (paid) this time?
Good for them, I guess. I found the zombie and space DLCs from the last game sadly disappointing.

A Far Cry 6 Expansion has supposedly leaked along with the GOTY Edition of the game. It is reportedly called 'Lost Between Worlds'. Could this be the long rumored Vaas story content that was teased at the end of the 'Vaas: Insanity' DLC? I guess we will find out soon enough as when something leaks at Ubisoft an announcement/trailer follows.

Didn't even know more content was planned after the season pass stuff.

Is the season pass stuff even good? Worth playing? I remember reading it has rogue lite elements.

I also assumed they were done with this game and moving on to a mainline title like Far Cry 7 or a smaller spin-off like New Dawn/Primal. If the rumored Vaas stuff is true, it looks like it could be this expansion rather than a standalone game. I have always bought the season pass for Far Cry games but didn't this time because they were rogue lite DLC's. I watched some videos of the DLC and am really glad I didn't. Here is the ending of the Vaas DLC:

They even tease his voice at the end of the main game.

Here is a leaked image of the GOTY Edition. The Title for the expansion, 'Lost Between Worlds' was datamined out of some of the Microsoft Store files.

Supposedly on Oct 6th they will reveal the 'Game of the Year Upgrade Pass' and more info about the expansion. I hope it's more story focused and adds a good amount of hours to the game.

This was the only Far Cry that I never finished. Just lost interest after a while. Need to go back and wrap it up.

I wouldn't say they stick the landing but I liked it enough to finish it. One bit I didn't like was that after you finish the game the main city "Esperanza" is still locked down by enemy forces and never gets fully liberated (this isn't a story spoiler just a lazy developer gripe) You have to fight your way through it every time you want to visit and if you wingsuit or fly in you get shot down immediately. They clearly spent a lot of time & detail on the main city and you never get to enjoy it after all the time spent to beat the game.

I finished the campaign, and at 50hrs or whatever I was ready to move on. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy my time with it, because I really did,

But I do like that the game continues, unlike Far Cry 5 (at least in the early days), which left you nothing to do but go fishing.
