Fatal Inertia Video (PLAYSTATION 3)

old, seen the it during TGS, it's been posted here, peopel don't seem to like the game but love the water.

Dunno what to think...

If it's realtime then, once again, it's impressive. Every PS3 demo seems to be doing a lot of things I REALLY want to see next-gen...but aren't present in most X360 games.

A simple bit out of there would be the scene with the water crash. You already have SM30 water going on...but the physics and effects associated with the crash are incredible and WAY beyond what we have in realtime today. I mean, the visuals themselves aren't that attractive...but if you really look at what's being done, you realize how technically advanced that stuff is and how nice it will look when it meets good art design.

A lot of X360 devs seem to be approaching visuals differently (say, a current gen game with more details and effects). The AC4 trailer is the singular exception to this. The machine is capable, but we're not seeing any major strides forward at this point.

I really hope a lot of those things we're seeing in PS3 demos represent what we will see with games.

Looks real pretty technically. Can't really mistake for a current gen game with all that effects going on. The water and smoke effects are excellent. Reminds me of Star Wars Episode one's pod race.

I'm not overly impressed. Only liked when the ship splashed into the water, and that itself wasn't all that amazing. Water looked nice...if not like an actual video of water. Otherwise, it was pretty damn red and pretty underwhelming IMO. PEACE.

The game looks like shit.

BTW is Wipeout Next gen in development? Did Wipeout Pure get decent sales?

Honest now, looks like shit? Is it the design style? Provide actual context for such claims, because what I saw technically looked otherwise, all that temporal like motion blur would have even suggested a CG video.

That's the thing, it didn't seem like actual temporal motion blur...but something attempting to emulate it. It looked rather different from typical CG.

That doesn't mean it wasn't, but it seems like it may have been a realtime demo (or at least a video of one). We'll see, though.

I keep saying it.

This generation is going to create a new breed of graphics whore.

You can see it has already started.

A whole need breed? That doesn't even make any sense. I know that I already AM one of the biggest graphics whores around here. What's the difference?

Come on guys omega force isn't know for graphics. This is Koei we are talking about, the rock textures are terrible and the physics are laughable. And I think the game is being developed by a newly formed Omega force studio in Canada.

But that's good for them, devs who were known for shitty graphics last gen are making decent looking next gen games.

You seriously don't see why that's so impressive, though?

I should maybe say a new level. I say a good 3 fold increase over last generation.
