What are yours, I just installed the gmail plug in and I like it. I mean it's not as fast as the gmail notifer but, it has less clutter on my desktop.

I was fond of ForecastFox but it doesn't work properly with 103. Flashgot has also stopped working with FDM. Love Ad-block. TBP is nice but FF really needs a complete overhaul with regard to tab functionality. Used to use Chatzilla but got some virus from IRC. Dictionarysearch and ieview are also useful.

Forecast Fox

Speaking of FireFox, anyone else have a problem with the dropdown menus on GAF (search, Thread/Forum Tools, etc) not working? It's weird, but it's only this forum it happens on. I haven't noticed it happen on any other vBulletin forums I visit.

Turn on your Javascript. Works fine on PC and Mac for me.

After the switch from Tabbrowser Preference to Tabmix they started working properly for me. Weird.

Yeah that's the first thing I checked, should have mentioned it in my first post. It is, and always has been, turned on.

I do see a lot of errors in the Javascript console though.

CuteMenus - icons in your context menu

Download statusbar - shows a progress bar on the bottom

Download sort - puts em in the folder you specify by filetype automatically

Image toolbar - fast image saving

Ook - puts bookmarks on your right-click menu

Scrollbar anywhere - drag the right mouse button to pan the page

Adblock -ummmm

Linkification - auto-links any link on the page that the browser doesn't underline. Great for forums.

Can someone explain to me how the hell FlashGot works? It sounds useful, but I don't know how to use the damn thing

*Noel Coward Parody

"Enables Mozilla Suite, Firefox and Thunderbird to handle single and massive ("all" and "selection") downloads using the most popular external download managers for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and FreeBSD (23 currently supported, see http://www.flashgot.net for details). FlashGot offers also a Build Gallery functionality which helps to synthetize full media galleries in one page, from serial contents previously scattered on several pages, for easy and fast "download all"."

https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=220&application=firefox

Install Flashgot, favourite download manager then restart FF and away you go!

Does anyone know of a plugin that does groups. Groups are a bunch of tabs you can save, and then re-open at anytime (basically a group of favourites). I have this feature in Maxthon (tabbed IE shell), but want to move over to FF, and this feature would be key.

BugMeNot
AdBlock
QuickTabPrefToggle
ForecastFox (soon to be replaced by Dashboard)

GOOGLE IMAGES RE-LINKER (click a thumbnail on a Google Image search, skip the page and go right to the picture)

save whatever bookmarks you want to group into a newly created folder in your bookmarks section. once you're done navigate to your bookmarks and middle click on the folder with all ze links to open all of them in one orgy-rific motion.

this works much better if you move the folder to your bookmarks toolbar for ultimate one-click action.

I enjoy StumbleUpon for whenever I'm bored to death. It's really great.

ImageZoom is great for controlling the size of images (if they're too big, make it 25% smaller, or too small 150% larger)

I also enjoy Paste And Go alot.

What problems are you having? I'm using ForecastFox with FF 1.0.3 and don't have any major issues. Mainly the pop-up notification is sometimes cut off, but the toolbar part works fine.

I guess this is the best place to ask.

Is there an extension, or any other options, to arrange the address bar dropdown menu so the most recently visited sites are floated to the top? I really hate having to scroll all the way down to get to my most commonly visited sites.

If there isn't an extension for this (and I don't think there is, since I've checked a bunch of times), one of you should make one that does this.

Based on the suggestions in this thread I got ForcastFox and FoxyTunes.

I've noticed my PC now seems to be slower generally speaking, and I'm having screw-ups with explorer. The Start menu in windows sometimes doesn't go away, and things seem to get worse when I've got my Winamp open.

I'm just wondering if this could be related to these plugins, or if it's a coincedence.

Completely unrelated. The plugins are only running when you have FireFox running, and installing FireFox won't touch IE or your Start menu (other than to add the appropriate icons).

I've made another thread about it now :) Seems my HD is on the outs :(

Adblock - best thing to happen to firefox
Mouse Gestures - makes navigation a lot easier
Nuke Everything - allows you to remove items from a web page, pretty useful dealing with annoying page design

i recommend you try RIP, as it's vastly more powerful than Nuke Everything

Anyone use Bandwidth Tester? I just installed it and it freezes almost immediately after opening every time.

Anyway, I use a lot of the standard ones:
Image Zoom
IE View
Translate
QuickNote
ForecastFox
BugMeNot
FireFTP
DictionarySearch

I just installed a few more based on this thread. Also, ColorZilla seems pretty cool if you graphic design and want to quickly get the data on colors used on websites or in images or whatever.

yeah, the description of RIP makes 'nuke everything' seems really simple compared to it. thanks

I, too, have 1.03. I'm getting these plugins, clicking on "install now" from their download pages. None of them work. None are selectable in my toolbar options.

I can't figure out how to make them work--unless they don't work with FF 1.03.

To start with, you do know that you have to restart the browser in order to install the extensions, right?

I've only got Moji, because I use Safari otherwise. Its nice (highlight a japanese word and click the translate button on the sidebar and it will show the translation) but it lacks hot-keys, and I hate having to use the mouse to highlight and then go click the button, its really annoying. And its coded pretty strangely or so it seems, and I've been unable to hack in working hot-keys. Damn shame too, it'd be really useful if I didn't feel so constricted.

Firefox bugs me because command+up/down and option+up/down do shit. Doesn't flow well at all with my style of browsing.

Hey what is the configuration option to force links to open in new tabs? Not ones that would open in new window anyways but links that open in the same window?

TabMix
Adblock
All-in-one Gestures
Duplicate tab
miniT
Super DragAndGo

Does anyone know how to make the focus stay on the tab I'm on rather than the tab I just opened?
