Favorite head-to-head puzzle game?

Here are some good choices, most of which haven't been mentioned yet in this thread:

Lemmings. I got to play multiplayer on the Amiga and SNES versions on a couple of occasions. It's one of the few head-to-head puzzle games that's always completely fair at the outset--the boards are laid out evenly, and anything that happens throughout the course of a level is directly caused by player intervention. Therefore, a player can't complain he was screwed because the other player "got lucky" and got a piece he needed or something. If someone got screwed, it's because the other player was clever. :) This is quite a treat to play, if you ever get the opportunity to do so. These days, it's probably easier to do this on a console the SNES or Genesis, rather than a computer like the Amiga or Atari ST (IBM PC version didn't have multiplayer).

Rampart. I primarily played this in arcades, and on the Atari Lynx. The arcade version supported up to three players, and used a trackball. There was an alternate version of the arcade game that only allowed two players and was joystick controlled. Lynx version only does two players max, but is otherwise a superb port, and very fun. Most of the other home versions varied wildly in quality, although I felt the SNES version was very good (though I don't remember playing it multiplayer).

ChuChu Rocket! Although I own this game on both Dreamcast and Game Boy Advance (the only platforms that I'm aware it was officially released on, although there's an unofficial Atari ST version out there), I've only actually played the GBA version multiplayer (three players, with one cartridge). Intense fun for up to four players, and reminiscent of multiplayer Lemmings in some ways.

Shanghai. Another favorite head-to-head puzzler on the Lynx, with several ways to play it. You could play a mode where both players alternate turns, with a limited amount of time to make your move--if you couldn't find a match, you basically forfeited that turn and the other player would have a scoring opportunity. You could also play a mode where "taking turns" gets thrown out the window, and both players can pluck matching tiles off the board in real-time.

Marble Craze. This game is only available on the venerable Atari 2600, but it's actually the most recent of the games I've mentioned in this post--it was released in 2002! I've only played it multiplayer on one occasion, but it's very enjoyable. Each player uses a pair of paddles to roll a marble through a maze.
