Boiled eggs are currently my favorite. Put a small pot of water on to boil, with enough water to cover the eggs. Add a couple of tablespoons of salt. Lower the eggs into the water (use a serving spoon so they don't crack) and let them boil for eight minutes. After eight minutes, drain the water, add plenty of cold water (or ice), crack, and eat.

They're great by themselves, or with a little salt and pepper (fresh ground is best), or a good sharp/extra sharp cheddar. A couple of these satisfies my late night snack cravings.

sefskillz said:A lot of people think it makes the water boil faster, it doesnt. It does make the water boil at a higher temperature, but I guess it could reduce cooking time.
