A lot of good choices listed.

I'ill throw in the Suikoden 3 intro music, I really like it, plus it was just one of the best intros ever!! Anyone have an idea what it's called?

Transcending Love. Yeah, I like the Suikoden 3 intro and intro music as well. It reminds me of the intro to Wild Arms, which was also cool.

Way too many instrumental songs to list, so here are some vocal ones that have stood out for me:

I Am The Wind (ED theme from Symphony of the Night)

Eyes On Me (ED theme from Final Fantasy VIII)

Melodies Of Life (Japanese ver.) (ED theme from Final Fantasy IX)

Baby Universe (sung by P5's Maki Nomiya from Minna Daisuki Katamari)

Kitty N (Blue Knife) & Shorty (Waratte Pon) songs (from Bust-A-Move 1)

Damn, how could I forget all 3 tunes from Out Run? Splash Wave, Magical Sound Shower, and Passing Breeze... all classics.

Flight (Xenogears)
Debriefing (Metal Gear Solid 3)
Enclosure (Metal Gear Solid)
Legend of Zelda Theme
Metal Gear Solid 2 Theme
Celes' Theme (FFVI)
The Pinnacle (Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow)

I forgot, but actually, the first theme from FFX-2 is really good too (Eternity - Memory of lightwaves)

The only song in gaming that is better than the Zelda overworld theme to me. I have every version of this song known to man.

The piano version by Hiroko Kokubu is even better than what is in the game

Last Night - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Majora's Mask had some fuckin' awesome music.

Fountain of Dreams - Super Smash Brothers Melee

Rockman X - Opening Road
Garoudensetsu 3 - Terry´s theme ( Neogeo CD )

All the music that I can remember at the time comes from Kameo. :lol

I love that damn soundtrack though. One of the best I've heard in a while.

Besides the classic games (Mario, Sonic, etc.) the only two games that I think have REALLY good soundtracks are Xenogears and the Metal Gear series. Personally, Can't Say Goodbye To Yesterday is one of my favorites. I think it's the only true jazz song ever to be in a videogame, and I remember everyone hated it because it wasn't as pretentious as The Best Is Yet To Come. To hell with those people.

Whats so pretentious about a song that no one even knows the meaning to? I just love it musically, you get to hear some nice instruments.

Ultima VII Part 2: The Serpent Isle: Great Earth Serpent Theme. Or possibly the Theme from Ultima VII: The Black Gate.

DON'T listen to them unless you still have your old MT-32 kicking around, or they sound wrong, wrong, wrong ;)
