Just buy one of these every 6 months. If you really want an electric do get the sonicare.

I use to use Sonicare until I read a dental study which showed that the mechanical circular motion toothbrushes were much more effective than the "sonic vibration" ones like Sonicare. Now I use a $8 Crest Spin brush Pro.

Feels more clean than Sonicare. Only thing is, it uses 2 AA batteries about once a month. And rechargables didn't do too well in it (my NiMH just couldn't provide enough OOMPH).

That Sonicare is supposed to be the best toothbrush on the market. I have one and I can't imagine brushing manually now.

I ordered the Elite 7500 Sonicare and 2 extra brush head replacements. Figure my brother and I will split the cost, share the brush, and use our own brush heads. Thanks for the input, folks!

I have the circular Crest toothbrush, but I hardly use the circular function. I just start brushing, halfway through realizing the spinning isn't occuring.

I got it as a stocking stuffer. It was very thoughtful.
