Favorite words?

Anyone have some favorite words? Any language would be interesting... I am particular to the word Erudite (wise) and I love the sound of Sphere (round like a Globe).

Tchotchke is another favorite word of mine, since I'm usually the only person I know that can pronounce it correctly.

I love words - there are so many that I couldn't choose. I love many - conscription, consecration, consideration, elevation, ulterior, indication, exile, sacrificial, malicious, charlatan, charismatic, alphanumeric, brittle, decay, delegate, facade, generate, on and on and on..

Erudition light the way!

Circumambulate. But you might like esoteric :]

My mom has this thing where she can't pronounce chipotle, lol

I hate this about myself, but over the past few years I have been using the term "bro" at a exponentially increasing rate. I guess that makes it my favorite word.

Are you certain she can't pronounce it or she just likes to mispronounce it. Chipotle is one of the ones I like to mispronounce, along with DownTOWN Abbey.

There are many words I like to mispronounce just for my own amusement or to annoy others.

Interestingly in Finnish boobies is a palindrome: tissit. It's probably related to the word boob and both probably originate from the same palindromical language tree.

I enjoy the Swedish word 'kavalkad' which is the same as cavalcade, but sounds nicer. The Finnish word for coins is kolikot, which is quite nice too. I also like that an eagle is kotka in Finnish. I think I have a thing for words with the letter 'k' in them. Though the k in Finnish is softer and more like something between the k and g in English and Swedish.

The best English word is luscious. Mmmh! Lusc-ious, such a rich word that feels nice on the tongue.

How an eagle looks at you when you use the lame word 'eagle' instead of the really cool word 'kotka'
