a cameo is a cameo?

I've always considered an actual cameo to be someone famous appearing as themselves in a movie. A "character cameo" isn't really a cameo imo because they're already a character in that movies universe. I mean, if a character cameo counts, then just list every movie in the Askewniverse and /thead.

When these started to happen at the beginning of the movie I was so confused and ohh so happy, I couldn't help but laugh out loud in the cinema when the Toby one happened.

Also Goldmembers start with Cruise, DeVito, Spacey and Paltrow, that one was pretty dam epic.
