Looks like the FBI is getting busy

Agents from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation visited an office belonging to the operator of a casino on the remote U.S. island of Saipan that has attracted attention for its huge revenues, according to a local legislator and residents.

FBI personnel, accompanied by uniformed police officers, arrived Thursday morning at a local office used by Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd., the Hong Kong-based company that owns the Best Sunshine Live casino, local residents said. They stayed for several hours, with local police blocking access to the building.

Saipan, an island of 50,000 residents closer to China than to Hawaii, relaxed rules on casinos in 2014 and soon awarded Imperial Pacific exclusive rights to open casinos there. The casino, run by an executive who cut his teeth in Atlantic City casinos then owned by Donald Trump, enlisted a slate of luminary overseers including former leaders of both the Republican and Democratic national parties in the U.S.

Its board members include James Woolsey, who ran the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in the early 1990s and was among national-security advisers to Trump’s presidential campaign. Former FBI director Louis Freeh and Ed Rendell, a former Pennsylvania governor and Democratic National Committee chairman, sit on an advisory committee, as does Haley Barbour, the ex-Mississippi governor and Republican National Committee chairman who’s now a prominent lobbyist.

Drip drip?

Who wants to bet this is where the rosneft money flowed through. Interesting that Woosley is tied to this. Is this why the CIA has been so tepid?

Just reading out the list of connections to money laundering activity among international people and locations connected to Trump properties maybe the tip of the iceberg. Purely speculation on my part, but CIA may be looking at the larger money laundering picture funding the various attempts to influence elections. FBI is narrowed on the 2016 Presidential election.

oh wow

Closer to gyna than hawaii you say?

Let's watch activity here and see if Woolsey and the other talking heads suddenly go quiet. haley barbour in particular should be visible.

The awkwardly named Best Sunshine Live hardly looks like a high-roller hub. Construction workers bet $5 or $10 at a time on roulette and baccarat in a fug of nicotine. Clustered in a far corner are a handful of tables for so-called VIP gamblers, which at 8:30 p.m. on a September Saturday are almost empty. A nearby bar has just a couple of patrons.

In September, Imperial Pacific reported a record $3.9 billion in bets at its casino—meaning the 100 or so high-rollers who it says come through its doors monthly each wagered an average of $39 million.
.

Can someone break down the significance for me? It's suspicious because there's a lot of money being bet/made? Sorry don't know a whole lot about money laundering/gambling.

That's like something out of a movie.

"Oh well, looks like I lost all that money that's totally mine in 30 minutes"

The amount of money going through that casino, if the numbers are right, would make some Vegas properties (or even groups of properties) blush even on an annual scale, and those Vegas casinos aren't getting by on patrons playing $5 a hand blackjack like this casino (supposedly) is.

In short, that $4B in a single month is not that far off from what the Vegas Strip casinos make collectively from gaming in an entire year. This casino screams 'FRONT" in 100 foot high letters with neon lights.

A lot of times, Casinos can act as fronts for some illegal transactions.

The person wants to make a payment on the down low. They make the payment under the guise of a gambling loss.

Unusually high bets at low profile casinos are a red flag.

Definitely. And looking at the board members, it seems like some big dudes both D and R could be in for a rough time.

Edit: this is what Trump supporters meant by saying politicians are corrupt... of course they supported an even more corrupt politician.

I will cry tears of joy the day Trump is led from the White House in chains.

I know you can never say never, but I highly doubt it'll ever happen. Even if it all closes in, I can't imagine they'll ever actually allow the full arrest of a President. Most likely, it'll be like Nixon again. He'll be forced out behind closed doors and the party will have to sort out the fallout
