No one will be probably interested but in case some people actually are, Ferion is a decent turn based space empire strategy sim you play online with your internet browser. The game is free to play, and although there is a limit on the amount of research you can do if you don't buy a key you can certainly give the game a go and see if you like it or not. You'll need to have a look at the manual as well, the learning curve is a bit tricky at the start but the game is worth it.
The goal is simple, you start with one planet in your home system (five planets per system and there is a map which shows star/planet locations and ship positions) and you rush out to colonise your local system as well as others before they are colonised by other players to build up tax revenue as well as production, science and social points. Beyond that the aspect of warfare, trade and alliances comes into play. It's a decent game, and I just signed up for Arena 291 (due to begin on the 21st IIRC) after not having played the game in months.
