I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about the definition of fetish vs erotically normative. This has involved a lot of self reflection and I’m coming to terms with the hard truth that my erogenous proclivity might be a smidge askew.

That being said, I’m curious what the community considers fetish versus normal or “general interest” eroticism.

Well technically all listed are fetishes but boobs, red heads, asses these days are considered normal. The others are still weird depending on the person. I've only fapped to preggos and muscular thighs. The other weird ones are not my thing.

I was browsing the cringe thread lately and some of the pictures I saw, made me thinking too (or crying myself to sleep at night). What the fuck is it with the diaper dudes :messenger_hushed:? Why are most of them bald, fat and state to be in their twentys, when they look like fourty?

By definition a fetish is something that's not a normal bodypart that you need to get sexually aroused.

Being into feet is not a fetish, but feeling sexually aroused by a girl wearing certain types of shoes is, for example.

Really? But that makes no sense.

A naked women would make me aroused, if she would wear lingerie for example, she would only make me more aroused.

Or for example, even in a BDSM relationship most people can have "normal" sex and don't need to be tied all the time, to get aroused. Still it is a fetish.

If you need it, to even get aroused that is more than a fetish, more like a mental disorder.

My fetish is small mammals with locomotion difficulties.

You define fetishes as what you deem as "non vanilla sex". And that's bullshit, sorry bro.

You are mixing up kinks and fetishes.

if you are aroused by something that is just a normal part of the body, it's a kink.
That's tits, butts, thighs, earlobes, armpits, feet, whatever.
If you are into midgets, it's still only a kink.

if you need some inanimate object either worn by you or the other person, or not worn at all to get aroused, it's a fetish.
Like shoes, hats, strap ons, whatever ( and also dessous).

I never really cared that much about the definition, but everything involved in regular sex which makes you horny, not a fetish.
So you think "fetish" is defined by if it's in Playboy it's not a fetish? :D

Feet or things like that, that would be one, but I could be wrong.
Then how come preggo is considered a fetish? It’s literally the result of the sex. It’s like not getting aroused by the grool that builds up during a vigorous cowgirl session.

Of course, because all fetishes are kinks but not all kinks are fetishes.

There is so much grey area, it is almost impossible to make a clear distinction.

Bondage is for some only and addition to their regular sex, but for some it is a fetish and it can become a mental disorder for example.

I think your preggo thing is a very interesting border territory case, since the fetus inside of a woman is definitely not a "normal part of the body".

Probably because it can be a kink and a fetish. If you still like to have sex with your wife, while she is pregnant or thinks she is even more beautiful it is a kink if you need it to get aroused it is a fetish. But again I am not sure you can even make such a clear distinction.

Once again, you are thinking wrong here.
You are thinking of a "fetish" as something that someone needs to get sexual pleasure.
But that's like EVERY PERSON ON THIS PLANET (except the asexual ones).

I guess you are not content with sticking your dick into some watermelon and be happy about it.
Even if you are a "vanilla sex" guy you probably need to watch or feel some tits or ass to get aroused.

Because you have a completely wrong definition of what a fetish is...

I mean, I have never heard about anyone being said "dude got a tit fetish" or "wow, he really got a butt fetish". Even if that person masturbates twenty times per day on tits porn and got a mental problem for it.

It's just something that crept into our usage of the word, but in its classical usage it meant an inanimate object that you need to achieve sexual arousal.

But it doesn't make any sense, except being a duplicate of "vanilla" or "non vanilla".

But isn't that exactly the definition of fetishism of the APA

n. a type of paraphilia in which inanimate objects—commonly undergarments, stockings, rubber items, shoes, or boots—are repeatedly or exclusively used in achieving sexual excitement. Objects designed for use in stimulating the genitals (e.g., vibrators) are not considered to be involved in fetishism. Fetishism occurs primarily among males and may compete or interfere with sexual contact with a partner. See also partialism. —fetishistic adj.

Also

According to the DSM-5, fetishistic disorder is characterized as a condition in which there is a persistent and repetitive use of or dependence on nonliving objects (such as undergarments or high-heeled shoes) or a highly specific focus on a body part (most often nongenital, such as feet) to reach sexual arousal. Only through use of this object, or focus on this body part, can the individual obtain sexual gratification. In earlier versions of the DSM, fetishistic disorder revolving around nongenital body parts was known as partialism; in the latest version, partialism was folded into fetishistic disorder.

I always wanted to get a logical explanation on why men are frequently turned on by two girls making out. Lesbian is always one of the top trending categories in porn sites.

... not that I have anything to do with this obviously. Just curious...

So you are a fetishist?

Someone explain to me what's so great about pregnant women.

There's no real reason to fuck them, they're already pregnant.
You could say that's great, cause she can't get pregnant! But there's another human in there that you're tumbling around.

It's all just disgusting to me.

Why do you like them, freaks?

Man I could never have sex with a preggo.

I'll just keep imagining my dick hitting that baby's face and him emerging with shell shock

Well look, that baby has to suffer through 9 months of the mother farting and taking nasty shits.
Your dick is gonna seem like a stroll through the park.
