So that super stacked Premier tournament in China only has 77 total players? Capcom listed 19 non Chinese/HK players in the prominent player list so that would be at least less than 60 from the actual country. I never heard of Chengdu and figure it wasn't a hotbed for SF players, but still, less than 60 non-Chinese is pretty bad.

Don't know whose fault it is but can they not figure out how to get another Premier event in Japan? That could have gotten another 300+ players and saved so many top Japanese players a long ass flight into the middle of China.

Japan has issues related to competitive tournaments falling under strict anti-gambling laws. (which aren't getting removed any time soon because it would damage the black market!) It's not Capcom's fault on this one.

Think dueling dragons is Dakou's event.

The Fall Classic is the biggest US 3S event there is. Lot of international & regional representation for the game, be sure to check it out. It's also Arcade only so all the divas are happy.

I just realized now that if Japan had another premier event, that would be another premier event without a payout lol. Hopefully Korea can get a Premier event next year if Infiltration or their community can come together to try and put a bigger event together. They have a decent size community and it's a short travel time for a lot of Japanese(by flight that is).

Didn't know he was still involved in the FGC. Having a known player behind a event definitely helps and if he's stepping up while nobody else is than I don't blame Capcom Premier status to his event.

Man does Punk need to be at every CPT event? He could have gone to TFC instead and won more money since attendance is actually bigger there(actual difference and total payout is pretty insignificant though). Plus some of these players are really desperate for points since we're so close to the end now but Punk is like "nope".

Wait, Punk is at North West majors?

I swear Capcom doesn't know what they are doing. They asked the TOs at North West Majors to host an event in the fall, and then took away their ranking event status for the regular NWM in the spring.

Why would Capcom would want to divert attention away from the Fall Classic, I have no idea.

It's hardly bound to happen -- the vast majority of double jeopardy instances happen in either loser's semi-finals or loser's finals. This can be mitigated by moving pools to a 3-out or 4-out format. The difference in event runtime is minimal but you greatly reduce the odds of double jeopardy outside of the final part of the event (3-out stops about 60% of the instances and 4-out stops something like 90% of them).
