That's like double her MSRP when it was selling for half for months. Even full retail + ridiculous EMS shipping costs would have been less than that.
You can use a proxy. Basically they buy it on your behalf in Japan and ship it to you. Of course you'll have to pay domestic delivery (Amazon to FromJapan HQ) unless Amazon do free delivery in Japan, and then international delivery plus commission which is like 200 yen and 5% system fees here and there.
Look into it. Usually it's not as bad as you'd think, plus you can mark the package to whatever you want to avoid import duty etc. FromJapan are great in my experience

Those are pretty great prices. I passed on both of those, and I'm down to pre-ordering only the stuff I absolutely 100% want. Some things aren't worth chancing sellouts. But it seems a lot of MH pieces end up with pretty deep discounts.

If it's something you really want, and feel like you can't live without, you'd be smart to pre-order. However, if it's something you only kind of like or don't feel like missing out on it will be a big deal, then roll the dice and play the bargain bin game. Sometimes you win. But sometimes you lose, hard.
I remember when I almost canceled my Aoba preorder. Would have regretted it so, so hard.

I checked the price on Iris on Amazon, and I think I got a good deal at 95£. She's around 245 on Amazon.uk and no longer showing up on Amazon.fr
Today I'm debating whether I should go ahead and grab Kaito, Rin and Len nendos from GSC. I have Meiko akd Miku reissues ordered and whule 35£ isn't a good price, getting them from Japan would probably end up around the same due to the shipping/tax.
Plus for some reason the vendors at the GSC booth are french hehe. Had a great chat with them since Umibozu is a well known character in France.

I almost bought an Aoba once when N-Y had him for $120. Was so close to pulling the trigger. Now regret. So hard.
This is bad, it's only going to encourage figure makers to set prices even higher because now they know they can get away with it. I think a lot of people only think about what they want, and have no real appreciation for how far their money could go if spent elsewhere.
