Back around E3, Nobuo Uematsu held a concert in which he, with the aid of the San Francisco Orchestra, performed his favorite songs from the Final Fantasy franchise. I heard it was a blazing success, and that he was considering taking the show on a world tour. Has anyone heard anything else related to this, or have these rumors essentially been snuffed out and buried?

There was some talk about taking the show on the road, but nothing since then.
There's going to be a few Black Mages live dates in Tokyo and Osaka in January.

There was a concert in Australia earlier a few weeks ago, Uematsu turned up and a friend of mine sat right behind him - got a few CDs signed etc. They played Joe Hisaishi compositions as well from his Studio Ghibli songs.
They're also planning on doing another next year, planning on going since I missed out the first time around. Don't know whether Uematsu will bring his goggles along but it beats sitting at home and having to sit through synth
