Nope yet. There should be a Muskeeter or a similar jobs in the game sometime in the future that uses guns. Even some NPC use them lol

Yeah I had a similar path to that on a char. I think the upgrade was so miniscule anyway, I declined to wear the speedo!

My level 1 character on Sargatanas still exists. She's ugly, though.

Yes, it is, but that's not why she's ugly. My phase 3 lalafell is totally adorable. I just chose really bad options when creating my old character. I don't know what I was thinking.

It becoming more and more like FFXII is amazing.
I remember in 1.0 running out at horrible times (as they werent particularly expensive at low levels) i would buy 999 of them and forget about it then 3 days later you randomly start punching dudes haha

I thought at first I'd go ARC/CNJ => BRD, but I feel like scholar will totally outclass me so what's the point.
SO thought I'd begin with CNJ/GLD => PLD, but I definitely would move to THF if it's introducedhowever PLD build stats wouldn't seem to lend to it...
Presumably we'd invest our bonus stats into our role (STR/VIT/MND for PLD), so that means we're locked in that direction way down the line? I'd just be a shitty THF or whatever if I wanted to use the same character for it?

Your build stats are tied to what ever class you have equipped at the time.
Why would a scholar outclass you as a bard? I'm 100% sure you are going to have the best buffs in the game still.
Nothing really beats a passive mp and tp regen aura, plus scholars are more likely to be more heal focused

Monk and Dragoon have a single target dps limit break
Black Mage gets a AoE nuke limit break
White Mage/ Bard gets an aoe/revive limit break
Warrior/Paladin get an defense booster limit break

The starter gear is newly drawn, but unfortunately the other gear you get is reused assets and not nearly as revealing. I agree that Tera had the best outfits though.
HMMM so the "bonus" points you get to assign as you level up don't attach to a base character sheet, but stick JUST on the class you leveled?

So, I have a character from 1.0 but I put very little time into it and would probably rather start from scratch. Is there an additional charge to have more than one character? Or do I have to delete my old one? Or, can I keep my old character but change its race/appearance/job?

Why must I be out of town this weekend, had a blast playing last week. Eh I guess it gives my ps3 some time to rest since its been running pretty hot for awhile now, one of the reasons I can't wait for the ps4 to come out is so I can retire this champ.

They never cared about the uncensored mods for Tera, although the patcher for that game would blow itself up if you tried to patch it and you forgot to remove the mods first before patching.
I played a thaumaturge until level 8 and I think the combat is terrible. I don't even really want to continue anymore if it's going to be like this. I just spam spells that all take 2.5 seconds to cast while stationary. UGH.
But then I've been playing Tera a lot lately. Tera has a bunch of its own problems, but its combat and movement really put almost every other MMO to shame and makes it difficult for me to go to any traditional combat ones.
