wow, forgot about this movie.
So I am confused. The US trailer is acting like this ending the Bond franchise...which would be stupid as it generally makes money. Are they trying to pretend they're ending it to draw more people into theaters? Honestly, Bond has been very hit or miss so I won't be seeing this in theaters.

I enjoy these movies but they are painfully average. Of all the Daniel Craig ones, Casino Royle is the only memorable one thanks to Mads. I wouldn't mind if these movies just die. Also super unsexy, I don't know how the word sexy got attached to this franchise. They have more awkward dialogue than discord general chat and cringest sex scenes. And in this trailer, Daniel looks like garbage in front of Rami Malek. These movies are like director fanfare, beautifully shot but terribly written. But I will give it a view I guess.
I don't think the trailer is indicative of the image quality of the film when shown in theatres.

That....doesn't disapprove what this person said at all. They're saying a female won't be James Bond. That doesn't mean anyone else can't take the role of 007. 007 is a job and Bond had basically already quit in the beginning of Skyfall after all.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the point made here.
The person you replied to said this new character would take up the title of 007(which remains to be seen), not become James Bond. Both of those articles refer to the the idea of changing Bond himself's sex to female. Never do they say no one else can be a 007 agent in those articles.
It would be a fair way to replace Bond as well. Anyone can be a 007 agent, but James Bond is a specific character.

They have tried to get spin off movies but wisely no one will finance them. Folks want Bond, and only a certain range of Bond. No one who actually sees these films wants a female bond, a female spy film, a woke Bond, a "thinker not a lover" bond, etc They want great action, great stunts, luxury, and a slick suave Bond not far off Connery.

Meh. This whole thing feels very tired at this point. Kind of a hold over in style and tone from the 00s that feels a bit dated. The endless delays haven’t helped my hype for it either. Spectre was poor, so I’ll probably just wait for this to inevitably drop on streaming a couple of weeks after it underperforms at the box office.

I'm gonna watch the movie just for Ana de Armas, because she's beautiful and hot at the same time. Bond for me isn't as excited after Brosnan series, where it really was all about spy games, gadgets and what's not, nowadays it's too much talking, show and no go if you want, with Skyfall being a terrible, 2h attachment to Adele's song. I absolutely love Casino Royale tho, probably my favorite Bond movie of all times, there's just something about the setting, the pacing, actors' performance that makes me watch the movie again and again and it never gets old.
For real, with all those (long) delays I forgot the movie even existed.
Could this be the moment I FINALLY get to see this movie?

Let's just hope Ava dodges the Bond girl curse and doesn't disappear from film. Though once they started hiring actresses instead of models/random hot chicks the producer wants to bang/foreign ladies that have to be dubbed that curse seemed to have corrected itself 
Then again, Teri Hatcher kinda fizzled and Denise Richards was probably always destined for a brief career based mainly on her looks. But the others are doing pretty well from the Brosnan era forward, even Caterina Murino (Casino Royale dame killed on the beach).

Craig-era Bond had god-tier Bond girls who were and almost all still are active in Hollywood: Eva Green, Gemma Arterton, Monica Bellucci, Olga Kurylenko, Lea Seydoux, Ana de Armas and arguably Naomie Harris who was kind of a Bond girl in Skyfall.
The only "dud" in a Hollywood career kind of way aside from Casino Royale beach lady was Bérénice Marlohe in Skyfall. Still very beautiful, though.
