Time needed for me to beat the game: 68+ hours, no guide. And of course I got the kind of ending that only a J-RPG is willing to hand out--
By and large, it's my favorite RPG this gen, even though some of the final dungeon levels were pretty tedious--teleport mazes and invisible holes in the floor all over the place. In addition, I decided to try to find the
that's hidden in the
, and by the time I finally did, I was so over-leveled so late in the game that it wasn't any use.
I can see me playing through it again (I loved the battle system, I loved the graphics, and I loved the storyline, and I'm certain that there's a lot of content that I missed this time through). But I'd be reluctant to do it on hard mode (because honestly, it was hard enough), and I probably won't play it again without a guide at hand.
Kagutsuchi called me on the carpet and referred to me as the "bane of existence."

My level 90 main character had Megidola and Freikugel and regenerated hit points after each battle, and with a level 70 Daisoujou with Preach, Prayer, and Meditation, a leveled-up Lilith, and a leveled-up Thor, I was only bothering to switch out party members for the entertainment value, rather than because I needed to.
