Firefighter Appreciation

Firefighters are pretty much the best people. #yesallfiremen

They run into burning buildings to save babies and old ladies. There's not one reported incident of a firefighter shooting an unarmed black teen whose back is turned. They risk their ass and look good doing it. E'ry day.

In conclusion, thank your friendly neighborhood firefighter. They protect us from fire, our most ancient and dangerous enemy.

Like all social service agents, they are grossly under appreciated. I've read a story about a firefighter, he saved a lot of kids from a school totally burning his face off. He looks like a burned pancake and the kids who he saved actually resent and pester him for looking like that. Great way to show appreciation.

The world is a horrible place sometimes.

That first post, lol. Never change, GAF.

But yeah, as ambiguous as you might feel towards cops, you can pretty much rely on firefighters to be the rescue personnel you can cheer for.

Besides those men involved in that first post, I respect the fuck out of anyone that uses their life to help others love.

I watched my neighbors's building burn down as firefighters took what felt like forever to start properly handling to the situation. I want to say that because firefighters don't actually fight many fires, maybe there's a lack of practice going on sometimes?

That being said, I can't deny the heroism of people who enter burning/crumbling structures to look for survivors.

HOLY SMOKES just seen footage of Firefighter with a GoPro camera on.... we always see flames from the inside of buildings in Videogames and movies...but it was surreal to see that footage..especially when they were using an infrared device to look if people were there while, walking in the hallways.

Makes me want a PlayStationVR game to save lives and neighborhoods.

I'll try to find the video. It was on my local KRON News station in SF.

My personal trainer is also a firefighter, very cool guy and keeps to himself a lot so I know he probably has seem some shit. But I definitely respect the profession

At least they're not cops.

I always wanted to slide down the fire station pole ever since my kindergarten went on a field trip there.
