So, I started using Firefox and like it alright, though it is notably slower than IE. Anyway, I'm having trouble routing downloads. I clicked the option to have Firefox prompt me for a destination for every download, but it's not doing it. What am I missing?

I was having the same problem with downloads, and as far as I can tell, the option you're referring to applies only to downloads that are started by left-clicking. Selecting "Save Link As" will always ask you where to download a file, but if you left-click a link to a zip file or something, then your setting will take effect.
