Err, no. I ran Far Cry on a machine below recommended specs originally (P4-2.4 GHz + 9700 Pro) and it ran like a dream at nearly max detail. Beautiful game!

Yeah, same here. On my new PC at the office it is even more spectacular as I'm running at 1280x1024 at 60 and over. To me, Far Cry is still the best looking game out there available for purchase.
