Intel recently held a press tour of its Malaysian factory and test labs during which tech editors and journalists from across the world were invited to take a glimpse at what Intel has been working on for the client and data center segment. During the tour, Intel provided a glimpse of 5th Gen Xeon "XCC" CPUs, Meteor Lake dies featuring a 6+8 configuration in C0 stepping, and more importantly, the Battlemage GPUs running in the failure labs.

We knew that Intel was working on Arc Battlemage GPUs after the hardware division ended work with Alchemist. Now we know that Intel indeed has the first Battlemage chips running in its labs and the naming is also important. The Battlemage BMG-G10 should be the successor to the Alchemist ACM-G10 which currently powers the Arc A770 and Arc A750 GPUs. The Battlemage GPUs are said to get both Xe2-HPG and Xe2-LPG variants but this specific design should be for discrete graphics.

Intel is expected to provide higher performance solutions with its Battlemage lineup while also using it to power the next-gen iGPUs such as the ones that are going to be featured on 2025's Lunar Lake lineup. The Arc Battlemage GPUs are likely going to utilize the TSMC 4nm process node when they arrive in 2H 2024 while offering cooling new technologies, architectural fixes, and more.

I would love to get one if they capture the price/performance ratio of classic x70 cards (eg. 970, 1070).

Edit: Worth noting that unlike AMD, the intel cards are actually good at ray tracing vs nVidia, so they won't need to do much catching up there.

I'm stoked for these cards man. Intel is in a position to capture the price to performance market right now, and this industry badly needs some competition, so everyone should be hoping for these cards to achieve excellence.
