First Metroid Prime: Hunter Commercial hits the Web

nah. its new. Thanks. (2.9mb)

Urgh. The tapping on the screen makes the game look stupid. And that's all they show. No real gameplay run around action. Tap tap tap.

is it real, the game won't be out 'till October I doubt Nintendo would be pushing it now...

its real. Just watch it. Borrows that blue square DS thing from the DUST/BREATHE..etc ads.

I take it its the US campaign. WHO"S the ad house? They suck compared to the Euro ads.

It looks real to me, seems to be done in the same style as those other Nintendo DS commericals. Also, it seems to be never too early to hype up an upcoming game.

wonder if this has anything to do with the big announcement they have thgis month

Reggie Fils-Aime " And now i would like to introduce you all to the next step in gaming, This my friends is No-Line, the online gaming evolution from Nintendo, its easy to use, and FREE. And the first game to use this will be Metroid Prime Hunters"

Cue Matt and Craig Fainting

Wow very ps1ish, and by that i mean it shows next to nothing of the game but a few short seconds before the commercial ends.

Not bad.

How is it an evolution when PSP is going online first on day 1?

I don't think online will ever be pushed on the DS by Nintendo. I mean, I live in a town with only one confirmed wireless hot spot, and I'm not even sure it's available to the public for free. Isn't there an even smaller precentage of owners who would actually get to use this online service compared to home consoles? It just doesn't seem like a viable business model to spend money on getting a service like this at this point in time.

Anyone mind explaining how this kind of online would get people to buy the DS?

I can't watch the commercial from here, but Nintendo is advertising MP:H already. Just last Friday I saw an ad for it; didn't catch the whole thing but it looked pretty decent.

Can you not just buy a cheap wireless router and the play anywhere in your house? I would buy a DS if I could do that - playin Mario Kart online on my bed.

the metroid demo is awesome, I will buy this. I never used the stylus though, just thumbstrap for looking and jumping. right trigger for fire.

A lot of people have wireless internet at home, not to mention college campuses and apartment complexes.

I thought the Metroid Hunter demo was great, graphics really surprised me. Touch screen aiming works great. The DS makes a great FPS machine, the PSP just cant offer that level of control precision.

Perfect dark 0 for DS please RARE :D

Wait, this isn't supposed to be released until October!? Wasn't it supposed to be a launch title!?

WTF, why is this game taking so long. You'd think RARE was making it.
