New movie from Aardman and Nick Park? Yup, day one.

These are some of the release dates that were announced early this year.

UK: January 26th 2018
France: January 31st 2018
Germany: March 29th 2018
Australia/NZ: March 29th 2018

Was a little disappointed at the 2018 release date, but if it's January that's only a year and three months away, which is fine.

Nick Park being allowed to make a new feature is wonderfully exciting.

where's the money coming from for this anyway

I still resent Dreamworks for essentially leaving them high and dry

StudioCanal is their new partner, and that's probably good for everyone since they have a real European focus. They also greenlit a second Shaun the Sheep movie.

Heck yeah. To be honest, Flushed Away is easily their weakest film (and a massive misuse of their strengths) so I should be glad they got a more accommodating, local partner.

Yup, I agree with all of that. I think StudioCanal is going to shape up to be their best partner. They'll interfere the least, and they're already focused on Aardman's best markets.

Now someone needs to force DWA to release US Blu-rays of Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Creationist friendly plot.

Meh, 2018? Why even bother starting to advertise this yet? Regardless, it's an Aardman production so I will undoubtedly check it out.

It's just a fun tease for fans. It was probably part of an animation test that could double for some promo.
