I just hope it is it's own show and not full of tie-ins to other shows, especially nothing Ahsoka related (though I highly suspect this will).

No a female Twi'lek. Some people think that she could be Darth Talon. George Lucas wanted to see Maul and Talon together in a Story, but they didn't really exist at the same time in the old timeline. But he never really gave a shit about the expanded universe and with the new canon it doesn't really matter so I think they used Lucas idea for this show.

That would be interesting, but without George Lucas being involved these days, it's difficult to say how well they will handle the idea.
