Platinum Trophy: Learned to Shit While Upright Again.
I was watching YouTube videos/clips

Going down the rabbit hole, one video was about fizzy fruit, so I clicked it

Video: http://youtu.be/So4ZrzBkJsA

Now I was intrigued, so I said what the hell, let's try this shit out

Holy Fucking Shit, is this awesome
I followed the directions as shown in the video

I put grapes, cherries, and oranges as a starter
Had a Styrofoam cooler box that got delivered today (frozen nutrisystem food delivery box)
Had dry ice in there already, keeping my food/snacks cold

So I just used that

Placed towels on the block of ice to insulate and keep the coolness to a bare cool flow
Then put plastic wrapping around the box to keep it tight and not leaking

They suggested 12 hours, I did 9
The fruit came out fucking amazing

The grapes when chewed on burst with grape soda bubbliness
The cherries had that bitter taste perfected but that fizziness at the end was awesome
The oranges didn't get too much gas, there was slight hints of it

So overall this was a success

Gonna try other fruits next time, but this was an awesome experiment that worked out really well
The fruit stayed cool for awhile, my baby niece who is visiting for the week only 11 months, munched on this fizzy cherries, it was awesome seeing her eat, get that bitter/fizzy after taste and them squirm a little. Then laugh it off.

So GAF, you should really try this out, its so good

Definitely going to try this. My daughter and her friends are gonna love these, I bet. Thanks for getting me some Dad Points op

You got me with that video, looks fun, imma try this one with the family. Now where to buy dry ice...

Usually there's store that sell it
Just google within your area, there's gotta be locations

If not amazon.com always to the rescue lol

Average should be $2/lb of dry ice, mine was 2 lbs
More you buy cheaper the price per lb

Also use the towels!
It is really necessary

I had 2 brand new hand washing towels, they kept the coolness to a minimum
Don't want to freeze your fruit and destroying them

If you do this, precaution please
Dry ice is no joke, gloves if kids paeticipating, just to be safe and a good teaching lesson

You can use any cooler, but using the plastic saran wrap does help insulate + protection from someone opening it prematurely

Best time to do this is either very early in the morning or late night
You really want to have at least 9 hours to mature the food

You can open and enjoy and keep opening and closing the cooler for seconds, fruit stays cold and fizzy

I still can't believe how awesome the grapes turned out
That has to be one main stay in your fizzy box
Any type, it just feels so good in your mouth

Cold, bubbly, fizzy, juicy, the texture of the grape gets enhanced too
Amazing what a little dey ice can do!

Don't touch dry ice with your bare hands. Don't stick your head in a bucket that's been filling up with CO2 for twenty four hours.

Chefsteps is an amazing YouTube channel. Difficult to do all that at home though, more fun to watch.
