I'm sure you guys have caught the news either last night or this morning.... can you friggin believe it? No print out of votes, few voting locations, not enough machines.... Florida Round 2... FIGHT!

I was forced to move to Florida around 9 years ago.

99% of the population down here doesn't deserve to vote, so as a state, we should be excluded from that right.

It's ridiculous and embarrassing. They had four years to fix this.

But lines were unavoidable in many parts of the state. Some areas, including Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Fort Lauderdale, had two- and three-hour waits.

Like a host at a jam-packed restaurant, Bob Cafazzo, an elections official in Pinellas County, noted voters' arrival times and handed them slips of paper. "Come back in two hours," he kept saying. "There are about 200 people in front of you."

In Florida, voting stalled in at least three populous counties - Broward, Hillsborough and Orange - when the laptop computers used to verify voter information stopped connecting to a central database, said Alia Faraj, a spokeswoman for Secretary of State Hood.

Bah, in defense of Florida, its not necessarily the people's fault. I'm sure things like this will pop up in other states using the new electronic systems. The only reason you're hearing about FL is because it started early voting already. :p

As a rebuttal not all the issues were electronic ones... the problem with a lack of voting locations certainly isn't.

Obviously, I mean strategically placing the voting locations so that they're as far away as possible from black populations is pretty complicated to work out.

If there are any more 'problems' with the voting in Florida, they should just exclude the whole fucking state from the election. If Bush steals the election, he needs to be shot.
