Can't wait to see all the changes this brings since it's now been made with Unreal 5 & PS5/XSX in mind.

Has it really been made with PS5 and XSX in mind? Can't wait to see all the changes this brings since it's now been made with Unreal 5 & PS5/XSX in mind.
i only play now and then but a while ago (last season i think) there was an ingame item that created an area of low gravity or some shit. there were rumours that Epic was using this as a way to test and get feedback on underwater gameplay. i dont know if this map will have lots of water but that's just what i thought of when i read your comment. maybe there was something in that rumor and we could get underwater gameplay this season.FUCK yes does this mean Flood/lotsa water again?!?!
Literally me and most of my squad's very favorite thing they've ever done (played most of Chap 2 and some of Chap 1).
If this brings back the flood we will be very, very happy!
no. PS5/XSX don't do anything special so i don't see why Epic would.Has it really been made with PS5 and XSX in mind?
Would really surprise me they wouldn't compromise with something that worked well in PS4, Switch and mobile, which are the platforms where I expect most users to be
Fortnite is a Big Boy now.Its quite impressive this game lasted this long. Most shooter games aside of big boys, dies with in 1 year.
Guess putting crafting mode in a shooter game, does wonders to your game.
Considering it made epic a lot of money, its indeed a part of the big boys.Fortnite is a Big Boy now.
Things like Ray-Tracing, additional effects and hopefully further improved loading speeds are certainly possible.Has it really been made with PS5 and XSX in mind?

UE5 is designed to be incredibly scalable, down to cell phones. There's no reason UE5 can't be used for last-gen.I think they will make it on UE4 or some UE5lite so ot runs on all the last gens/mobile and they will do an ok UE5 version for PC/current gen console, but it wont be a huge difference.
Check the small text at the end of the trailer.Where has it been confirmed it's using Unreal 5? I thought it was just a rumor.
It's still the best shooter around because of how much it continually changes things up.People still play this junk?
Yup but those can be added afterwards and doesn't imply the map has been made with PS5 and XSX on mindThings like Ray-Tracing, additional effects and hopefully further improved loading speeds are certainly possible.
It will be built with features not possible on last-gen systems.Yup but those can be added afterwards and doesn't imply the map has been made with PS5 and XSX on mind

People still come into Fortnite threads and say this junk?People still play this junk?
This.UE5 is designed to be incredibly scalable, down to cell phones. There's no reason UE5 can't be used for last-gen.
It's just going to, like every game, have different levels of detail on different devices, different features turned on/off.
But many of the core UE5 features, like their geometry system, are designed specifically to scale.
Would you say Skirim aniversary was made with XSX and PS5 on mind? Because that also has features not possible on last-gen systems. Again, that's what you weren't implying on the first post but let's keep it hereIt will be built with features not possible on last-gen systems.
Would you say Skyrim Anniversary was rebuilt with a brand new map, on a brand new engine?Would you say Skirim aniversary was made with XSX and PS5 on mind? A map and an engine that needs to work, not only on next gen consoles, but also in much less powerful devices. Thinking they have made them with only next gen consoles in mind is crazy. All essential features will work everywhere. If there's something that don't it will be minor things. That's not what I'd say "a map and engine built with ps5 and xsx on mind" but that might be just meWould you say Skyrim Anniversary was rebuilt with a brand new map, on a brand new engine?
Graphics, textures, everything is scalable.A map and an engine that needs to work, not only on next gen consoles, but also in much less powerful devices. So you agree that if they think about an engine having to work on much less powerful machines it's not done only with PS5 and xsx in mind. That's what you seemed to imply in your initial postGraphics, textures, everything is scalable.
That's been one of UE5's major selling points.
Like the UE5 demo, it can be built with PS5 in mind, and still scale down to mobile phones.
They don't need to worry about the lower systems, that's where the scalability comes in.So you agree that if they think about an engine having to work on much less powerful machines it's not done only with PS5 and xsx in mind. That's what you seemed to imply in your initial post

This game is extremely cool but the building gameplay pushes me back. Especially if you're playing with a controller - but I have managed to win some games without any building.
Yeah, I enjoyed it besides the building stuff. That and I was always playing alone because I have no friends (and because I'm in Asia).I like Fortnite except the building aspect of it. Don't focus too much on it and you'll enjoy it.
