The Simpsons

In the Name of the Grandfather

2r26jc9.jpg

The Simpsons travel to Ireland so that Grampa can have a final drink at O'Flanagan's Pub, an old watering hole of his. But when the small town of Dunkilderry isn't quite what Grampa remembers it as and O'Flanagans has become a rundown, empty pub, he and Homer decide to buy it and fix it up.

King of The Hill

Nancy Does Dallas

After Nancy takes a glamorous new job in Dallas and temporarily leaving Dale behind he finds the freedom of the bachelor life too hard to handle.

Family Guy

FOX-y Lady

Lois gets a job working for FOX News and has to do a report on a liberal filmmaker. However, she loses the job when her story implicates a conservative radio host.

American Dad

Bar Mitzvah Shuffle

Steve and the gang sabotage a stuck-up kid's bar mitzvah after he hits on Steve's girlfriend, Debbie. But when Snot gets wrongly accused of stealing the kid's bar mitzvah money, he must answer to the Rabbi and his own celebration is in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Stan and Francine pitch a cell phone idea to Verizon, but the plan gets fuzzy when they can't deliver the goods.

That episode of the Simpsons reminds me of the one episode of Family Guy when Peter and Brian went to Ireland.

Simpsons was quite good this week, easily the best of the past series (and also the first time in the shows history that the UK got an episode before the US - suck it, Yanks :D).

What they should with the Simpsons is remaster episodes from season 10 and under and show them on Sunday nights.

US Simpson viewers: Ignore Bootaaay's opinion. The Simpson's episode was fucking terrible.

Simpsons generally is terrible nowadays, and this episode was a few degrees less terrible than some of the truly shitty episodes of this season - like last weeks DaVinci Code crap, or that fucking terrible monstrosity of an episode 'Lisa the Drama Queen' based on Heavenly Creatures. I actually laughed out loud while watching this weeks episode, just the once, but thats still more than most modern Simpsons episodes usually manages to get out of me.

So either way I should skip it. Gotcha.

Just watched tonight's Simpsons.

Meh. It had its moments but was still completely forgettable like most of the recent episodes.

Last King of the hill episode :(

... Where is my King of the Hill farewell thread ?! >:(

Where did you hear that? Wikipedia has two episodes listed after tonight's, and there's this press release from last year:

HANK IS "KING OF THE HILL" AS THE SERIES REACHES ITS 250TH MILESTONE EPISODE

The Emmy Award-winning animated series KING OF THE HILL will celebrate its 250th milestone episode in May 2009. The 13th season of KING OF THE HILL, featuring Hank Hill, his family and their neighbors in the fictional suburb of Arlen, TX, will premiere Sunday, Sept. 28 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
