Franchises with the most games.

Thought this was interesting. GiantBomb keeps a tally on what franchises have the most games and it was interesting to see what franchises/brands/titles have had the biggest output of games over the last several decades: https://web.archive.org/web/20230930045656/https://www.giantbomb.com/franchises/?franchise_filter[letter]=&franchise_filter[sortBy]=mostGames&___franchise_filter[games]=

1995 - Warhammer - 82
1996 - Pokemon - 154

So Naruto is the most recent franchise on the list with at least 65 games.

Disney started having games in 1981. So at 521 games, that would be more than 10 games a year, and overwhelmingly makes it have the most games, even having over twice as many games as Mario does.

When breaking down certain franchises:

Disney:
Mickey Mouse - 52
Kingdom Hearts - 21
Winnie the Pooh - 19
Toy Story - 18
Cars - 18

Marvel:
Spider-Man - 51
X-Men - 32

Marvel vs. Capcom - 9

Nickelodeon:
SpongeBob SquarePants - 45

Steven Universe - 5

DreamWorks:
Shrek - 32
Madagascar - 13
How to Train Your Dragon - 8
Kung Fu Panda - 6
Megamind - 5

Each of those clearly has a standout above the rest, with the exception of Cartoon Network, where the franchises are somewhat more spread out.

But the numbers on the site are different than the ones you posted here? for example it says that Disney got 375 games.
Yeah, those are past numbers only accessible through Wayback Machine, because since then Giant Bomb went through a site update which led to the franchises list currently not be on there. The current numbers can still be accessed through individual pages though: https://giantbomb.com/wiki/Franchises/Disney
