i was wondering if anybody knew of any free dvd rippers(for my on personal backup) or some that are free to try that let me rip whole movies (some of the free trials only let me rip 50% of the movie)

the one time i did this i used DVD Decryptor to put the VOB files on my hard drive, and then used VirtualDub to make it into a AVI file.

I was trying to make a backup for my portable dvd player, and i coppied everything. When i go to make sure everything is working with WINDVD the whole thing is messed up. Menu's dont work and i dont know how to make a DVD so that its all in one package before i burn it.

Anyone got any ideas?

It's really sad that the best ripper is still Dvd Shrink, which is free and bests 99% of the pay rippers, AND development stopped months ago. I wish there was something else because Shrink has been giving me tons of shit lately with some discs.

Yeah, why hasn't there been a new version of DVD Shrink? They seriously stopped developing?
