If it's ranked by popularity though, won't the Blade fanbase reward goth standards like "The Cure?" Is that cheating if you pander to their tastes?

Right off the bat, the goth fanbase seems like it could rule, and it wouldn't be cheating to pander to them.

The cool thing is that you change your playlists throughout the contest. So you can adapt to the voting on a week to week basis.

I figure (hope) that eventually different groups of people with like-minded tastes will mobilize and make the track listings more diverse.
