From my experience, the best way to get referrals is to put an auction on ebay. Sure it's against ebay's terms, but if you don't get caught you can get the referrals in no time.

I got mine in 2 days (2 one day listings) for a nominal price of $.60 for listing fees.
 
Anyone here that hasn't already done any offers (so there would still be some cheap ones or even the Infone one) who is interested in doing it for some token amount of cash over Paypal? PM me, since I've the feeling that this thread won't stay on the front page long and I'll forget about it.

I titled my auction Free ipod or something to that effect and then I just gave a description on how to get it.

Some idiot actually bid on my second auction and sent me a check for .01. Yeah, one fucking cent and then he left me negative feedback when I said I wasn't going to send him an ipod for a penny.

whats up guys, I am getting my free flat screen tomorrow, UPS tracking has it 40 mins from my house,...... I got the 17 inchLCD monitor, and I got 5 referrals today(7 total) for the ipod, so i am good to go... might start the PC one...

and it gets denied.. im trying to edit the title and description.. eliminating the key words they might use to block it.. but it aint working. .. :(
 
Hey, I'll give away free gmail invites for completed freeipod.com offers... I signed up for that just to help a friend (who got his), and I wouldn't object to an ipod.

Hmmm...that's weird that you couldn't list it.

I just checked and there are still auctions doing the same thing.

As to why you can't do a one day listing:

What are the seller requirements for a 1-day listing?

You must have a feedback rating of 10 or more, or
You must be ID Verified.

It took about a week for mine to go from being processed to "Sent to Vendor, Waiting on Product."

Now it's been at that status for about two weeks. Lets hope the next status = shipped.
