Lovely - another Euro chart where GTA: LCS is climbing up. Should bode well for the PSP hardware sales.

I speak on behalf of probably several posters when I say that Izzy, you have been pretty annoying the past day. At least Nintendo fans can keep it to Media Create threads.

Hey. No need for personal attacks. I find his constant support quite charming, actually. He's certainly more entertaining than annoying.

Saying he's been annoying today is nowhere near even medium on a personal attack scale. :lol

Hey, maybe to you, but maybe not to someone else. :)

The most impressive bit about GTA: LCS sales in France - the game debuted at the No.5, and it's been climbing up ever since. So it certainly fits the 'it's got legs' description. :)

You are so, so very transparent.

Yep, GTA is definitely selling

Wario, how am I supposed to be looking at that picture? Is it saying the game is out of stock even though there are copies sitting there, or are those just display boxes?

Empty boxes - that pic was taken in the UK where the game is currently out of stock. It's a true killer-app all over Europe.

Thanks, Izzy.

Seems a bit excessive to have so many spots taken up to say a game is out of stock. Why not put other games there?

Perhaps to attract future customers? People always want what they can't get.

So retailers open the cases?

Or so you mean display cases?

If they are display, what is the logic behind the clear white cases? Why does the other game have fewer clear cases behind it?

No charts this week. Wait until next week for two sets of charts, pls.
I expected as much, just wanted to make sure. So I asked about it in this thread, didn't wanna make a new thread about it.

Sony domination in that chart.

I went into an EB/GAME store in the UK after Christmas and they had "sold out" stickers over all the PS2 console boxes. I can't quite believe that they sold out their entire stock of PS2 hardware...or did they

Yes, most stores removes the shrink wrap, put the disc and manual in a drawer behind the counter and the empty box on the shelf. You can sometimes see a guy behind the counter sitting and removing the shrink wrap on a mountain of games.

Just curious to why they would make it appear there are copies availble by 1) having a display cases
Just telling the customers that "yes you should buy the game here (but not right now)".

2) stacking empty cases behind them.
Makes the game easier to spot if it's closer to the edge of the shelf I suppose.

PS2 sold very well over the Xmas - so it doesn't surprise me a bit...
