A user on the tech4gamers forum has spotted an intriguing job listing at FromSoftware, which can be traced back to Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. According to this job listing, FromSoftware might be looking for someone to help with a DLC for Armored Core 6.

The ‘responsibilities’ section of the job listing states that FromSoftware requires a developer well versed in “modelling and texturing characters of robots.” Now, FromSoftware has only one game under its belt that deals with robots, and that is Armored Core 6. The game was released almost a year ago and has fared well with critics and audiences, so this is the right time for FromSoftware to announce a DLC.
Additionally, last year, mentions of a DLC were found within Armored Core 6 files. Reliable insider Zullie revealed that “a handful of lines in Armored Core 6’s message text” referenced a DLC. Messages such as “710000 DLC parts have been deactivated”,” “710030 Change in DLC ownership status has altered AC assembly”,” and more were spotted.

Moreover, players speculate that this job listing could be for a new instalment of the series instead of a DLC. However, it is hard to believe that Armored Core 6 will only receive additional content after AC 7 comes out. Seeing how well FromSoftware’s latest expansion (Shadow of the Erdtree” has performed, players can be sure that Armored Core 6 will receive the same treatment. However, we will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.

I wish they’d hire that dude who made the Bloodborne 60fps mod…

Its not up to them, the IP belongs to Sony, they make update fro PS5.

I like Bloodborne as much as the next guy but honestly I need more Armored Core more than Bloodborne.

want armored core 7 to be open world somehow

territories to explore, bases to infiltrate or brute force in, make alliances/enemies, watch rivals carrying out sorties, destructible terrain and buildings, etc.

off topic but seriously summer time rendering super underrate.
One of my fav anime in years. Loved it from start to finish.

Edit: There's even a VN spin-off, but sadly it didn't receive an English release. Oh and Mages apparently has removed all the playthroughs that were uploaded on YouTube so it's kinda hard to find much info on it. :lollipop_pensive:

A year later?
I mean they were cooking Elden ring dlc, and are likely working on their next big project too.

A year later for a substantial dlc seems fair to me. Still faster than 99% of devs, and when devs shovel out “dlc” quick it’s just stuff they cut from the base game to sell you in scraps. This game shipped complete.

I mean hiring for it a year later. And it wasn’t a game on the scale of ER. If the game was gonna get DLC, wouldn’t it be out or at least dated by now? It was a different team than ER. Does DLC for smaller-scale From software usually come out more than a calendar year after release?

I imagine they were awaiting sales to see if they could even justify a dlc.

And they clearly have the best direction in the industry of any devs. When they task to do it then it gets done in a fast time frame thanks to their structure it seems.

Idk if past AC games had dlc or how fast it showed up.

they had expansions but released separately like Armored Core Silent line which was direct sequel/expansion to Armored Core 3 and Armored Core For Answer was also direct sequel /expansion to Armored Core 4.

Noo, nooo. No, no, no

Only thing AC needs going forward is more experimental missions, newer missions in NG+, and shotguns to be deleted
